During the social and ideological upheaval of the early eighties, a group of university friends join the student movement and get swept away by the tide of love and rebellion. As the years pass by, Kyung Min (Kim Jung Hak, The Scent), Yong Ho (Kim Jung Wook, Korean Peninsula) and the woman they both love, Soo Jung (Ahn Mi Na, Radio Star), go through numerous ups and downs in their struggle for "juche" and political change. Their embattled journey will eventually bring them to North Korea and more cruel turns of fate.
