Summary of Choice Husband (2023)

Shen Miao, the cherished daughter of Yangzhou City's wealthiest merchant, has always been surrounded by wealth and beauty, making her the object of desire for countless suitors. Yet, only two men have come close to winning her hand, only to have their plans abruptly derailed.

First, there's Pei Yan Zhen, a talented and principled scholar whose ambition is as sharp as his mind. Then, there's Song Xi Yuan, the Third Lord—a stunning and silver-tongued merchant who rivals her own wealth. Both men originally seek her for their own agendas but soon find themselves genuinely falling for her. As these two formidable men clash in a battle for Shen Miao's heart, a dark political storm begins to gather on the horizon, threatening to engulf them all. Their fates are about to collide in ways none of them could have anticipated.
