Summary of Love Is Full of Jiudaowan (2023)

This is the story of four young people, one man and three women who all love him, as they navigate the ups and downs of life in Beijing. In the winter of 1979, Yang Shu Mao returns home after graduating, determined to climb the social ladder and become a successful businessman—hoping to be worthy of his first love, Shi Xiao Na, a wealthy heiress. With that goal in mind, he teams up with his childhood friend Zhao Ya Jing, who harbors secret feelings for him. However, Shi Xiao Na continually comes between them.

When Shi Xiao Na's father disapproves of Yang Shu Mao, believing him too humble to marry his daughter, Yang begins to see the vast social divide between them and distances himself from her. It’s then that he realizes his other childhood friend, Ye Fei, might actually be the perfect partner for him. But his mother has other ideas—she’s much closer to Zhao Ya Jing and is set on making her the daughter-in-law.
