Lee Dong Gun Brings Jeju’s Oasis 80 to Seoul – With Sand Coffee, Star Chefs, and a Surprise Love Story Brewing
K-drama star turned café entrepreneur Lee Dong Gun is heading to Seoul—and he’s bringing his buzzworthy Jeju café, Oasis 80, along with him!
On June 5, Seoul’s hip Seongsu-dong will get a taste of the island lifestyle as Oasis 80 launches its first-ever pop-up. Known for its breezy vibe and signature sand coffee, fluffy waffles, and silky kaymak, the café has become a go-to hotspot in Jeju—and now city dwellers finally have a chance to indulge without the plane ticket.
The real kicker? Lee Dong Gun himself will be hand-dripping sand coffee on opening day, June 5 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Yes, the same actor who once melted hearts in Stained Glass, Lovers in Paris, and Where Stars Land is now brewing love in a cup.
“For those who haven’t been able to visit Jeju, this is your chance to meet us in Seongsu,” event organizers teased.
And it’s not just coffee connoisseurs getting hyped. The event will feature culinary cameos, including the iconic Jung Ji Sun, aka the “Queen of Dim Sum,” alongside a lineup of elite guest chefs. No end date has been confirmed yet, but fans are already buzzing with excitement.
A New Brew—and Maybe a New Romance?
Lee Dong Gun’s return to the public eye isn’t just about caffeine and kaymak. He’s also making headlines for his rumored relationship with actress Kang Hye Rim, who is 16 years his junior. The two were spotted on multiple dates, sparking online chatter. While his agency called it a “personal matter,” fans have taken that as a soft confirmation.
Lee was previously married to actress Jo Yoon Hee, with whom he shares a daughter. The couple divorced in 2020, and Jo is currently raising their child.
From the drama set to the espresso machine, Lee Dong Gun continues to reinvent himself—and this Seongsu pop-up could be just the beginning of a brand-new chapter.
☕ So mark your calendars for June 5—because this is one brew you won’t want to miss.
