To distance themselves from their humble origins as farmers, three friends masquerade as samurai and hold the peace in Kinugasa Village, despite daily battles to the death with rogue bandits. However, when real samurai & war veteran Jojima returns from battle, he begins to exert his dominance over the trio and they come to learn the way of the warrior.
