This heartwarming love story follows Sakuraba Isumi, a short, baby-faced university student with a talent for cooking, and Amasawa Kyosuke, a tall, easygoing police officer with a sincere charm.

Twenty-year-old Isumi is initially mistaken for a minor and almost taken into custody by Amasawa. Fate intervenes when they cross paths again at the convenience store where Isumi works part-time. From that point on, every time they meet, Amasawa asks for late-night snack recommendations. Worried about Amasawa’s unhealthy eating habits, Isumi offers, "How about I come over and cook for you?" As they share home-cooked meals at Amasawa’s place, their bond deepens, leading to a budding romance.
