In the crisp early autumn of 2012, Yucai High School is abuzz with the arrival of Su Zai Zai, a vivacious transfer student who immediately sets her sights on Zhang Lu Rang, the school’s enigmatic and aloof heartthrob. From the moment their paths cross, Su Zai Zai is captivated by Zhang Lu Rang’s brooding charm, despite his cool, detached demeanor.

Beneath Zhang Lu Rang’s polished exterior and impressive academic record lies a man trapped in the shadow of his prodigious younger brother, Zhang Lu Li. Perpetually compared to his sibling by his overbearing mother, Zhang Lu Rang has grown accustomed to living in a self-imposed cocoon, hiding his insecurities behind a facade of confidence and detachment.

However, the arrival of Su Zai Zai, with her infectious energy and unfiltered honesty, begins to crack open Zhang Lu Rang’s shell. Alongside Su Zai Zai’s loyal circle of friends—Gu Ran, Guan Fang, and her best friend Jiang Jia—Zhang Lu Rang embarks on a journey of self-discovery and transformation.
