Bon Appetit Your Majesty- (Final) Episodes 11-12
Episode 11 kicks off with one of the sweetest yet most bittersweet moments, Yi Heon gives Ji-young a ring and kisses her. But Ji-young pulls away, torn between her life in the future and the world she’s come to care for. She makes him promise not to become a tyrant, and he makes her promise to come back if she can. The mix of romance and heartache here really tugs at your emotions.
Next, Yi Heon sketches the bibimbap Ji-young first cooked for him in his Mangunrok, a small but heartfelt tribute. Meanwhile, preparations for Queen In-ju’s birthday banquet are underway. Ji-young faces a dilemma: the queen has been abstaining from meat, but the banquet requires it. Quick on her feet, Ji-young turns to soy meat, impressing everyone with her creativity.

Consort Kang tries to get close to the queen but faces resistance due to her connection to Prince Jin-myeong’s poisoning. Jesan, of course, has his own plans to trap Yi Heon. Things get even darker when Chang-seon informs the king that Chu-wol has taken her own life. Suspicious, Yi Heon keeps the news to himself while trying to piece together the larger plot.
As Ji-young and her team set up the banquet dishes, a soy meat gujeolpan and eggplant pie, small, personal touches appear, like chocolates she secretly keeps for Yi Heon. During the event, Yi Heon surprises everyone by performing the Cheoyongmu dance himself, much to Queen In-ju’s delight. But just as the banquet seems to be going well, Yi Jang-gyun appears with the historical records Yi Heon requested, revealing the dark truth about his mother’s death and the role of Queen In-ju and others.
Yi Heon’s anger almost costs him his reason, but Ji-young steps in, reminding him of his promises and expressing her love. With her clever intervention, offering chocolates to his grandmother, Yi Heon finally calms down, guided by the wisdom his mother wanted him to embody.

Just as things settle, the palace plunges into chaos. Prince Jesan’s rebellion springs into action: Song-jae is captured, Ji-young is kidnapped, and the rebels set the forest on fire around Yi Heon. The tension is off the charts, and fans are left on the edge of their seats as Yi Heon fights to save everyone, only for Jesan’s men to recapture Ji-young.
Episode 11 perfectly blends romance, suspense, and action, with Ji-young and Yi Heon’s bond at the heart of it all. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and it’s impossible not to be hooked waiting for the next episode.
Episode 12 is an action-packed, heart-pounding finale that perfectly balances romance, suspense, and time-bending magic. It kicks off with Gong-gil saving Ji-young, revealing that Prince Jesan is leading a full-scale revolt against Yi Heon. Meanwhile, Jesan spreads chaos in the palace, killing ministers and manipulating Queen Ja-hyun to crown Prince Jin-myeong in Yi Heon’s place. But Yi Heon and Su-hyeok survive, setting the stage for the ultimate showdown.

The tension skyrockets when Yi Heon is jailed, but he’s still holding on to his Mangunrok, and Gong-gil cleverly drops Ji-young’s butterfly charm into his cell so he knows she’s alive. Ji-young, knowing history predicts Yi Heon’s death, rallies to save him, proving once again just how resourceful and determined she is.
As Yi Heon is marched toward his execution, Ji-young meets him in the crowd and urges him to stay strong. The rescue kicks off in full force, with kitchen staff, soldiers, and even Jang Chun-saeng joining the battle. Yi Heon finally defeats Jesan, but not before Ji-young is critically injured. In a stunning twist, the Mangunrok glows, lifts her off the ground, and pulls her inside, leaving fans gasping.

The story comes full circle with Ji-young waking up in modern-day Seoul, reunited with her father and carrying the Mangunrok. A month later, she begins working at a new restaurant and finds herself cooking alongside modern-day lookalikes of her Joseon-era team. The heartwarming twist? Yi Heon finds a way back to her, and they finally reunite, sharing a long-awaited kiss. The epilogue is pure fan-service gold, with Yi Heon cooking bibimbap for Ji-young, just as he promised.
Episode 12 is an emotional rollercoaster that delivers on romance, action, and clever twists, leaving fans thrilled, teary-eyed, and completely satisfied. It’s the perfect ending to a journey full of love, loyalty, and deliciously high stakes.
