The airport buzzed with activity—announcements blaring through the speakers, hurried footsteps echoing across the polished floors, travelers rushing to their destinations.

Among the sea of people, a confident figure stepped off the plane.

Dressed in black cargo pants and a beige crop-top sweatshirt, she exuded effortless style. Her long, wavy hair cascaded down her back, the soft glow of the airport lights highlighting her features.

Cordelia Grey—no longer April Winter—had arrived.

Her amber gaze scanned the terminal, unfazed by the lingering stares of passersby.

None of them mattered.

She had only one person she was looking for.

And there he was.

Standing near the exit, arms crossed, a familiar smirk playing on his lips—Felix Grey.

A slow smile spread across Lia’s face.

She abandoned her luggage in the middle of the floor and ran toward him, her sneakers thudding against the tiles.

The moment she reached him, Felix pulled her into a tight hug.

"You’re back, finally," he muttered.

But just as quickly, Lia pushed him away.

Felix blinked at her in confusion. "What the hell?"

Lia ignored his question, scanning the area behind him.

"Where’s Mom?" she asked.

Felix let out a dramatic sigh. "Seriously? I’m standing right here."

"So what? It’s not like I was excited to see you," Lia teased, folding her arms.

Felix scoffed. "Whatever. Mom’s at home."

Without another word, Felix grabbed her suitcase, lifting it with ease, and started walking toward the sleek black car waiting outside.

Lia followed, falling into step beside him as Amy grabbed the smaller bags to store in the trunk.

"You’re not coming with us?" Lia asked, noticing Amy wasn’t getting into the car.

"No, I still have to report to the boss," Amy replied.

Lia rolled her eyes. "Speaking of which, where’s your workaholic brother?"

Felix smirked. "Where do you think? Still locked up in his office like usual."

Lia raised a brow, feigning surprise. "On a Sunday? Poor Amy, you never get a day off with a boss like that."

Amy chuckled. "It’s fine, Miss. I’ll see you later." She gave a small wave before turning and heading toward another vehicle.

Felix revved the engine, pulling onto the road.

"Home, sweet home," he muttered.

Lia gazed out of the window as the familiar cityscape of their estate came into view.

She had mixed feelings about returning.

This place had become her sanctuary, yet deep inside… it wasn’t truly hers.

But as the car pulled up in front of the Grey Manor, her conflicted emotions melted away at the sight of a very excited Georgia Grey practically sprinting toward the driveway.

The moment Lia stepped out of the car, Georgia wrapped her in a tight embrace.

Lia sank into the warmth of the hug, smiling against her shoulder.

"I missed you so much, Mom."

Georgia squeezed her tighter. "Yeah, yeah… then why did you refuse to let me visit you in Paris, hmm?"

Lia pouted pitifully. "Mom, you have so much work here. I didn’t want to trouble you."

Georgia squinted at her, one brow raised.

"Woah, would you look at this? You’ve learned how to play the pitiful act, huh?"

She laughed, shaking her head in amusement.

Felix, who had been dragging Lia’s luggage toward the entrance, sighed dramatically.

"Can we go inside already?"

Lia shot him a disgusted look. "I seriously dislike your son."

Georgia mimicked her expression. "Same, sometimes."

Felix turned, offended. "I CAN HEAR YOU!"

Both women burst into laughter.

"No one in this house respects me!" Felix groaned as he stomped into the manor, muttering under his breath.

Lia let out a content sigh.

She was back.

And the next chapter of her life was about to begin.
