Heartbreak, Hidden Scars, and High-Stakes Performances

Hey Namib fans! The emotional rollercoaster continues in episodes 3 and 4, and we are absolutely not okay. The drama is delivering gut-wrenching backstories, tense power plays, and some truly heartbreaking revelations. Let’s break it all down.

This episode takes us back in time to reveal how Shim Jin-woo lost his hearing. In a devastating flashback, we see Soo-hyun momentarily distracted at an amusement park, leading to an accident that changed her son’s life forever.

In the present, Soo-hyun takes Jin-woo to the factory she bought for him, hoping to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a CEO. But he’s resistant, unsure if this is truly what he wants. Meanwhile, Soo-hyun reconnects with her old friend Jeong-hwa, a former hit artist, and enlists her husband Jun-seok’s help in mentoring Yoo Jin-woo.

Elsewhere, Shim Jin-woo catches Yoo Jin-woo sneaking out to work at the club. The next day, Jin-woo fights off his brother’s bullies using merchandise he smuggled from Pandora, showing that beneath his cynical exterior, he does care.

At Jeong-hwa’s café, both Soo-hyun and Jun-seok see Jin-woo’s potential, though Jun-seok notes that he lacks stage presence. Soo-hyun pitches Jin-woo’s story to Star Rise producers, but they insist his mother must appear on the show. Meanwhile, romance stirs as Shim Jin-woo grows closer to Ji-yeong, Yoo Jin-woo’s only friend and fellow trainee.

But the biggest revelation comes when Soo-hyun learns from Jin-woo’s aunt that he has a history of self-harm. This deeply worries her, especially as Jin-woo keeps running off to the club. The episode ends on a harrowing note—Jin-woo, after escorting drunken VIPs, gets into an accident, leaving us in suspense.

Secrets and Stage Lights

Jin-woo reaches out to Chris, who takes responsibility for the accident, saving him from any major fallout. But it’s clear that Jin-woo is spiraling—his self-harm scars tell a story of pain he refuses to share.

Soo-hyun, meanwhile, visits her psychiatrist, and we learn about her past attempts to find a cure for Jin-woo’s hearing loss, all in vain. Determined to make Jin-woo a star, she and her team begin strategizing, unaware of the emotional toll it’s taking on him.

Jin-woo confesses his struggles to Shim Jin-woo and Ji-yeong but is soon gripped by another fear—he accidentally left Soo-hyun’s business card at the club. That night, plagued by insomnia, Soo-hyun follows him and sees firsthand the weight he carries.

The next day, Ji-yeong joins the Star Rise rehearsals, eager to prove herself. Their performance at Jeong-hwa’s café earns praise, but trouble is brewing—Pandora’s new CEO, Hyun-chul, catches wind of Soo-hyun’s efforts and starts digging into her plans.

At the Star Rise registration, producers push Jin-woo’s buttons, triggering his anxiety. But when Soo-hyun checks on him, he masks his emotions and steps back into the competition. Meanwhile, another layer of mystery unfolds—Chris shares a past with Ha-na, a contestant linked to Pandora’s dark history, hinting at a deeper conspiracy.

As the competition kicks off, Soo-hyun stands in the audience, watching as Jin-woo pours his soul into his performance. It’s a moment of triumph, heartbreak, and connection—one that the reality show producers will undoubtedly milk for drama.
