Junho Embarks on a Bold New Journey: Launches His Own Entertainment Agency and Gears Up for Big-Screen Comeback!
Get ready to see a whole new side of Junho!
After an incredible 17-year journey under JYP Entertainment, singer-actor Junho is officially stepping into a bold new chapter of his career by launching his very own one-man agency! While he’s charting an independent path for his acting and music activities, Junho will still maintain his relationship with JYP — the company will continue managing his activities in Japan. (Talk about best of both worlds!)`
According to insiders, Junho is in full-on CEO mode, preparing to officially unveil his agency by mid-May. Although the company name hasn't been revealed yet, Junho is bringing together a trusted team — including former collaborators — to build his new empire. Industry heavyweight Yang Hye Young, known for her strategic magic at CJ ENM’s brand division and for pushing boundaries in pop culture, is reportedly lending her expertise to Junho’s new venture.
And that’s not all — Junho isn’t slowing down one bit. After stealing hearts in the hit 2023 drama King the Land, he’s diving straight into not one, but two major projects set to light up screens later this year.
First up, he's filming Typhoon Boss for tvN, where he plays Kang Taepung, a young CEO fighting to save his late father's small company during the 1997 IMF financial crisis — a story that promises both comfort and inspiration. Then, Junho is switching gears (and genres!) for Netflix’s Cashero, taking on the role of Kang Sang Woong, an everyday civil servant with surprising supernatural powers in a heartwarming comedy adventure.
Known for his ability to effortlessly glide between historical dramas, emotional romances, and slice-of-life stories, Junho’s upcoming roles are set to showcase even more layers of his undeniable talent.
Fans, get ready — Junho’s new era is just beginning, and it’s going to be legendary!
