Renowned mystery and detective novelist Huo Yun Ya, grappling with a crippling creative block, unexpectedly finds himself interning at the quirky "Always-Help" law firm. It’s here that he meets Nie Rou Zhu, the firm’s only female employee and a self-proclaimed "super-part-timer" with an eccentric flair for problem-solving. Thrown together as unlikely partners, the duo dives into a series of intriguing cases—ranging from the suspicious will of a wealthy tycoon to the unsettling case of a stalking ex-boyfriend.

As they crack each mystery, the line between professional partners and something more begins to blur. Amid the thrill of uncovering hidden truths, they also start to unravel the growing tension between them, leading to a gradual, unexpected romance.
