Fans of MBC’s We Got Married will love this reunion story! Actor Lee Jang Woo recently opened up about his initial shock when he heard that Hahm Eun Jung, his former “virtual couple” partner from the 2011 season, is getting married.

On November 16 KST, Hahm Eun Jung shared a fun YouTube video titled “We got (separately) married (feat. friendship couple Lee Jang Woo),” where the duo reunited to celebrate each other’s upcoming weddings. It was a heartfelt and hilarious moment as Lee Jang Woo recounted how he first heard the news.

“My mom is the one who told me you were getting married. I was working, and suddenly she said, ‘Hey! Eun Jung is getting married.’ So I told her, ‘Mom, no. She’s busy filming a drama right now,’” Lee Jang Woo said, clearly still in disbelief.

He continued joking, “You and the director didn’t even seem to match well at first, so I thought it was a false report. I kept wondering, ‘Is she pregnant? Why would she suddenly get married now?’ Even when you said no, I doubted it for a long time.” Hahm Eun Jung couldn’t stop laughing and clarified, “That blessing hasn’t come to me yet!”

Hahm Eun Jung also shared how busy filming schedules influenced her decision:

“Starting next week until July next year, I have to film my drama. I couldn’t delay it, so I had to get married this year. The drama team was in chaos too. And if I plan on having a child, they told me I should get married sooner. I was born in 1988, so it’s considered an older age for pregnancy.”

In exciting wedding news, Hahm Eun Jung will marry director Kim Byung Woo on November 30. Director Kim is known for films like The Terror Live and Take Point and is also preparing for the Netflix series The Great Flood, releasing December 19.

Meanwhile, Lee Jang Woo is set to marry actress Jo Hye Won on November 23, capping off eight years of dating.
