Rising star Mu Jin Sung has officially joined 2PM’s Lee Jun Ho, Kim Min Ha, Sung Dong Il, Kim Ji Young, and Kim Min Seok in tvN’s highly anticipated Typhoon Boss. This marks Mu Jin Sung’s first confirmed K-drama of 2025, and fans are eager to see him shine in this powerhouse lineup!
Set against the backdrop of the 1997 IMF crisis, Typhoon Boss follows Kang Tae Poong (Lee Jun Ho), the CEO of Typhoon Company, as he navigates corporate struggles, rivalries, and the fight for survival in a turbulent economy. The drama will dive deep into the intense power battles, high-stakes decisions, and personal growth of those caught in the storm.
Mu Jin Sung will play Pyo Hyeon Jun, the director of a container shipping company and the son of CEO Pyo Park Ho, a key rival to Lee Jun Ho’s character. With corporate tension at an all-time high, his role is expected to bring strategic power plays and thrilling face-offs that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats!
After making his acting debut in 2013 (Two Weeks), Mu Jin Sung has showcased his versatility in dramas like Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Birthcare Center, The Scholar Who Walks the Night, and Strangers Again. Most recently, he appeared in Disney+’s action-packed series The Tyrant alongside Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, and Jo Yoon Soo.
The drama is helmed by director Lee Na Jung, known for hits like Fight for My Way, See You in My 19th Life, Mine, Love Alarm, Oh My Venus, and The Innocent Man. Meanwhile, rookie writer Jang Hyun is taking the reins for the script, adding fresh energy to the compelling storyline.
