SHINee’s Choi Minho might be one of K-pop’s most recognizable faces, but when his older brother Minseok showed up on MBC’s hit variety show I Live Alone, viewers had to do a double take. The brothers’ rare two-shot instantly lit up social media and fans couldn’t stop gushing over their jaw-dropping resemblance.

The sibling sighting happened during Episode 608 (aired August 8), where Code Kunst was in the middle of an epic studio clean-up mission, joined by friends Minseok, Myungshin, and Minho. The moment Minseok and Minho appeared together, cast member Park Na Rae exclaimed, “Seeing you together, you look even more alike. You really do look similar!” And honestly… she was spot on.

Minho greeted Myungshin with a warm hug, showing his easygoing personality and hinting at the close-knit circle he shares with his brother’s friends. The cast remarked that while it’s normal to just nod hello to an older sibling’s friends, actually hanging out together is rare. Minho explained, “We’re two years apart, and we went to the same middle and high school, so we joined the same clubs and naturally became close. I followed them around a lot.”

The nostalgia didn’t stop there. Code Kunst revealed he’s known Minho since childhood, even before SHINee debuted, recalling, “I’ve known him since the time he was in ‘Young Astronauts Korea.’” The throwback had the cast (and fans) in stitches.

As for Minseok, this isn’t his first brush with variety fame. He first appeared on I Live Alone back in 2022, becoming a hot topic when Code Kunst joked, “In our neighborhood, everyone said Minseok should be the one debuting, not Minho, when they heard Minho was going to debut.”

For the record, Minseok is a graduate of Seoul National University’s Department of Physical Education and, according to longtime friend Code Kunst, just as charismatic as his superstar younger brother. Seeing the two together was a treat for fans, a rare glimpse into Minho’s family life that made the episode extra special.
