My Troublesome Honey- Episode 3-4
Episode 3 kicks off with our male lead, Yun-Ya, once again lounging in his bathtub, now deep into writing his new character, Julie—based, of course, on Rou-Zhu. While he’s crafting his novel, Rou-Zhu and her coworkers are busy cleaning the law office when the stunning Ms. Hou, Yun-Ya's sister, makes a grand entrance. Wang Yi-Yun, the boss’s son, is instantly smitten, practically tripping over himself to offer help.
Yun-Ya is taken aback to find his sister at the firm, only to discover she’s there to draw up a prenuptial agreement for her upcoming marriage. Always suspicious of her fiancé, Yun-Ya can’t shake the feeling something's off and suggests digging deeper into the man’s past. His sister, however, dismisses his concerns, saying her fiancé doesn’t even know about the prenup. She brushes him off with a sly suggestion: maybe he should take Rou-Zhu out on a double date instead.
Intrigued by Yun-Ya’s suspicions, Rou-Zhu agrees to help him investigate Zhao Fenghuan. She spends the evening digging through the internet, and the next day finds her on a stakeout at the library, tailing Fenghuan. It’s an amusing scene as Rou-Zhu, with her not-so-subtle attempts at spying, nearly gets caught—only for Yun-Ya to swoop in and playfully hold her up as they pretend to search for books.
Though Rou-Zhu is convinced Fenghuan is innocent after the library stakeout, Yun-Ya’s instincts still scream otherwise. Determined, the two team up for another day of sleuthing, this time spying on Fenghuan at a café. Their antics are adorable, pretending to take photos of each other to avoid suspicion. But things take a hilarious turn when Ms. Hou unexpectedly shows up. To avoid being discovered, Yun-Ya and Rou-Zhu fake a romantic moment, pretending to kiss as they barely manage to slip away unnoticed.
Back at the law firm, the team pieces together the puzzle, realizing the same mysterious woman has appeared at both the library and café in connection with Fenghuan. Her name is Lingling, and the trail leads back to a shared history—Lingling grew up in the same orphanage as Rou-Zhu.
The investigation takes Yun-Ya and Rou-Zhu to the orphanage, where Grandma Nie, who raised Rou-Zhu, welcomes them. As they gather more details about Lingling’s past, memories begin to flood back for Yun-Ya—especially when Grandma Nie affectionately calls Rou-Zhu "Little Pork." A nostalgic flashback reveals that Yun-Ya and Rou-Zhu once knew each other as children, sharing sticky bean buns in the very same orphanage. It finally clicks for Yun-Ya: Rou-Zhu is the girl he’s been searching for all along, though she doesn’t remember him.
While Rou-Zhu plays with the children, Grandma Nie tells Yun-Ya about Rou-Zhu’s endless work to support the orphanage, deepening his admiration for her. A rainstorm strands the pair at the orphanage for the night, but sleep eludes Yun-Ya. When Rou-Zhu finds him out on the swings, the two share a heartfelt conversation under the starry sky, opening up to each other in a way that hints at a growing connection. The layers of their past and present are slowly unfolding, and it’s clear that something more is beginning to bloom between them.
Episode 4 kicks off with a heartwarming moment as Yun-Ya reflects on the starry night sky while typing his novel. The conversation he had with Rou-Zhu clearly struck a chord, and it’s evident as he pours those emotions into Julie’s character, writing her alongside his male lead. The connection between real life and his writing is simply adorable!
Meanwhile, Yun-Ya and Rou-Zhu approach his sister to explain their suspicions about Fenghuan. But Ms. Hou, loyal and unwavering, refuses to believe them. She’s adamant that after years with Fenghuan, he’s not capable of such betrayal. Though Yun-Ya is visibly frustrated, he lets the matter rest—for now.
Later that evening, Ms. Hou can’t shake her brother’s words and, acting on instinct, checks Fenghuan’s phone while he’s in the shower. What she finds is enough to confirm her worst fears—there is another woman. Shaken, she reaches out to Yun-Ya, demanding irrefutable proof to confront him once and for all.
This sets the law firm group into action, determined to gather hard evidence. They track down Lingling’s address and devise a plan. Rou-Zhu, posing as a cleaner, infiltrates Lingling’s apartment and overhears the incriminating details of her next rendezvous with Fenghuan. Armed with this intel, she rushes to Yun-Ya, who relays the information to his sister.
At the fateful meeting spot, Fenghuan tries to placate a restless Lingling, assuring her that his recent engagement interview is nothing more than a formality. But before he can smooth things over, Yun-Ya, Rou-Zhu, and Ms. Hou burst into the room, catching him red-handed. Fenghuan scrambles to deny everything, but the truth is out. Desperate, he admits to a “brief mistake,” still proclaiming his love for Ms. Hou. But she’s had enough. Without a second glance, she storms out, leaving him in the dust.
Fuming, Fenghuan directs his anger at Yun-Ya, warning that this isn’t over. But Yun-Ya, unfazed, stands his ground. Meanwhile, Ms. Hou heads to the gym to blow off steam, where Yi-Yun, who’s been smitten with her from the start, offers to help her vent her frustration in a playful boxing match.
The next day, as the law firm crew rehashes the drama, Yun-Ya’s manager, Collin, barges in with urgent news—Yun-Ya has vanished, overcome with guilt for making his sister sad. Collin insists that Rou-Zhu is the only one who can bring him back. Determined, Rou-Zhu heads to Yun-Ya’s house, where she meets his dog, Alexander, and persuades him to go for a walk. Reluctantly, he agrees, and as they stroll, he receives a call from his sister, thanking him for everything. She even suggests a celebration, sparking a party for the whole group.
This leads them to join at a shooting range, where they all dress up as superhero characters. Then they watch as Ms. Hou attacks a boxing dummy, knocking it clear out. After she has exhausted all her hurt feelings and vented her frustrations, they finally end up at a private upscale barbecue spot.
Things quickly get out of hand as everyone drinks a little too much. Yun-Ya, ever the responsible one, helps his tipsy sister and the others back to their rooms. When he tucks Rou-Zhu into her own, their playful banter takes a sweet turn. In her drunken state, she insists she wants to be his Muse, leading to an unexpectedly tender moment. As the episode ends, we’re left with a tantalizing cliffhanger—will they share a kiss? The chemistry between them is undeniable, and the tension leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, eager for what comes next!
DramaZen's Opinion
The puzzle pieces are finally falling into place as Yun-Ya realizes that his suspicions were right—Rou-Zhu is the little girl from his past, the one he’s been dreaming about all along. With this revelation, it feels inevitable that he’ll stay close to her from now on. Though it doesn’t seem like he fully sees her in a romantic light just yet, there are unmistakable hints of something more brewing beneath the surface. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their interactions are so naturally intimate—it’s like they’re already comfortable with each other in ways that go beyond words.
Moments like the fake kiss at the café and the way Yun-Ya holds her up in the library, trying to keep their cover, were not just adorable but showed how effortlessly close they’ve become. These playful yet tender exchanges leave you wondering if their connection is already deeper than they realize, setting the stage for what could be a beautifully slow-burn romance.
I’m thrilled that the sister finally uncovered the truth about her so-called fiancé—turns out he was nothing more than a cheating opportunist. The reveal sets the stage for an exciting shift in her story, especially with the undeniable chemistry brewing between her and Yi-Yun, the law firm’s charming lawyer. You can already feel the sparks flying between them, and I have a feeling they’ll make an adorable couple! I can't wait to see how their connection blossoms after such a dramatic turn of events.
