First Loves, Flying Jealousy, and a Hot-Air Balloon Stand-Off 🎈💥

We are officially in the second-chance romance phase, and Episode 11 of Crushology 101 is delivering peak tension, peak pettiness, and a full-blown showdown in front of a hot-air balloon. Yes, you read that right.

After a whole year in New York, Bunny is back on campus — and back in our hearts. Everyone is thrilled to see her… except the one person she wants to see: Jae-yeol. He doesn’t know she’s returned. He’s too busy marinating in silent regret and probably staring longingly at old texts.

Bunny, meanwhile, reunites with the squad. Bo-bae and Do-ha are still going strong, and the girls try not to mention Jae-yeol... until Kkot-nim accidentally spills that he’s doing just fine. Oops. On the other side of campus, Do-ha casually drops the Bunny-is-back bomb on Jae-yeol — and you can literally see the panic set in.

As fate would have it, Bunny and Jae-yeol end up in the same elective class. Awkward isn’t even the word. Jae-yeol straight-up ignores her. Bunny pretends she doesn’t care, but her eyes are screaming “WHY.” To make things worse, she overhears him rejecting a blind date and saying he’ll never date anyone in college again. Ouch.

Meanwhile, Ji-won returns like the loyal second lead we never deserved. He quickly clocks that Bunny’s still heartbroken over Jae-yeol. She admits she hoped to patch things up but it’s not looking good.

Later, during a convenience store drink run, Bunny bumps into Jae-yeol. Literally. A dropped soda can leads to a mini heart attack, a spilled drink, and Jae-yeol fleeing the scene like he’s in a rom-com chase sequence. Sir, please.

Bunny, heart heavy, considers dropping the class. But when Jae-yeol hears, he panics. He helps her put up a poster in the library (classic slow-burn setting) and begs her not to drop it. Instead, he says he’ll drop the class. Bunny’s like… seriously? That’s not the point.

Dejected, she walks home — only to run into her first love, Jin Hyun-oh. Yep. Plot twist. He’s charming, smug, and totally here to stir the pot.

Meanwhile, the school’s journalism club invites Jae-yeol and Hyun-oh for a “cool kids of campus” interview/photo spread. (Yes, this is a thing. Yes, we love it.) Ji-won swings by to tell Jae-yeol he’s over Bunny and that, plot twist: Bunny never wavered in her feelings, even abroad.

Armed with that truth — and a fresh wave of jealousy — Jae-yeol sees Bunny with Hyun-oh and finally agrees to the photoshoot. Because what better way to compete than through forced small talk and fake smiles on camera?

At the shoot, both boys confirm they’re single, but Hyun-oh goes full K-drama chaos gremlin by declaring he’s still into his first love. You guessed it: Bunny. 🙃

Each guy gets a ticket for a hot-air balloon ride (because apparently we’re living in a romance novel now), and Hyun-oh wastes no time asking Bunny to join him. She says yes. Jae-yeol, fuming from a distance, recruits Ji-won for moral backup.

What happens next? Drama. Delicious, messy drama.

Jae-yeol storms up, grabs Bunny’s arm, and pleads with her not to go. Hyun-oh tries to intervene, but Jae-yeol refuses to back down. Cue intense eye contact, a triangle of tension, and the entire fandom yelling “KISS OR FIGHT ALREADY!”

Lost Bags, Love Confessions & The Kiss We Waited All Semester For 💥🎓

Class dismissed, crushologists — Crushology 101 has officially wrapped, and Episode 12 gave us everything: mistaken goodbyes, drunken bromance, small-town side quests, and the slow-burn reunion that had us screaming into our throw pillows. Let's break it down, one last time:

We pick up with Jae-yeol showing up out of nowhere to talk to Bunny. He starts with an apology (finally!), but when he says “everything’s in the past,” Bunny hears “let’s be friends” instead of “I still love you.” Oof. Before he can explain himself, Hyun-oh swoops in like a walking plot twist and drags Bunny away.

Later, Bunny confesses to Hyun-oh that she still likes Jae-yeol and that their “breakup” hurt her. Hyun-oh shoots his shot and asks if there’s a chance she might like him instead. Bunny is too flustered to answer — but we all know what the answer is. 💔

Meanwhile, Jae-yeol and Ji-won are handling their emotions like real men: by drinking until they pass out... in each other’s arms. Do-ha, as always, is the designated dad-friend and scoops them off the sidewalk.

Just when you think things can’t get more K-drama, Jae-yeol realizes he left a critical project bag in a taxi — the day before the agency deadline. Do-ha calls Bo-bae for help, and Bunny, overhearing the panic, lies to Hyun-oh (who she had plans with) and rushes off to help Jae-yeol. Girl, you’re not even subtle anymore.

With no way to contact the cab driver, Bunny and Jae-yeol do what any love-struck idiots would do — they take a spontaneous road trip to the driver’s hometown. Of course, Jae-yeol ends up soaked with water and shirtless in a stranger’s house (because drama logic), and the two are forced to sit and stew in all the tension they still haven’t resolved.

Eventually, Jae-yeol breaks. He tells Bunny he missed her and confesses he messed everything up. Before she can respond, the cab driver magically appears and returns the bag. Crisis averted. But feelings? Still hanging in the air.

Back in Seoul, Bunny tells her friends about the spontaneous getaway. Everyone's wondering: Are they back together or what?? Meanwhile, Bunny stumbles on Jae-yeol’s school magazine interview and finds a surprise — he changed his answer about being single. He’s no longer “waiting for someone” — he names her. The girl who went to America. 😭

Just as she’s about to call him, Jae-yeol calls her instead (timing: elite). They meet at the library. Emotions spill. Words are said. And finally — FINALLY — they kiss. Full-circle love story unlocked. 💋💕

Now that they’re officially official (again), Bunny and Jae-yeol begin navigating the future together. He works on repairing things with his mom. Bunny, no longer trying to chase a scholarship or escape her feelings, decides to pursue Art Design — on her own terms.

Bunny’s parents are thrilled to have Jae-yeol back in their lives, and honestly, so are we.

Where Are They Now?

  • Bo-bae finally debuts as an actress, with Do-ha cheering her on like the loyal golden retriever boyfriend he is.

  • Ji-won decides not to go to New York after all, because his sister’s fine and maybe he’s got unfinished business here… especially with Kkot-nim, who has started crushing on him hard.

  • Hyun-oh exits stage left with dignity, but maybe a bruised ego.

  • And Bunny & Jae-yeol? They walk into the future hand in hand, proving that sometimes love just needs time, growth, and a little chaos to bloom.

DramaZen's Opinion

Opinion of Crushology 101 (2025)

Episodes 11 and 12 were everything a finale should be — angsty, swoony, and just the right amount of chaotic. Bunny and Jae-yeol had me yelling at the screen one moment and melting the next. The tension? Real. The miscommunication? Painful. The hot-air balloon drama? Iconic. 🎈

Their slow-burn reunion was so worth it — from the missed chances and heartbreak to that perfectly timed library kiss. Finally. FREAKING FINALLY.

Bo-bae and Do-ha remain flawless. Ji-won? King of moving on with dignity. And Bunny choosing herself and her future while still embracing love? Yes, ma’am.

Crushology nailed the ending — heartfelt, hopeful, and totally satisfying. I’ll miss this messy little campus and all its beautiful disasters. 💔📚💘
