Face Me- Episodes 7-8
Twisted Truths and Shocking Revelations
Episode 7 opens with an adrenaline-pumping scene as Jeong-woo and Min-hyung rush to save Hyo-ju, who lies critically injured after a brutal attack. Seeing her in a pool of blood triggers flashbacks of Jeong-woo’s fiancée’s murder, momentarily paralyzing him. But with Min-hyung’s urgent call to action, he jumps in to save her life, performing an emergency surgery that puts his skills to the ultimate test.
Meanwhile, the plot thickens as Min-hyung digs into the suspect’s identity. The neighbor who witnessed the attack provides key evidence, identifying the killer as the same person who murdered Hyo-ju’s father. This shocking connection leads the police to Jin-seok, Hyo-ju’s estranged brother. As Jin-seok’s past unravels, his involvement in a gambling den and ties to Nam Gi-taek, Hyo-ju’s father, come to light.
Jeong-woo’s involvement becomes deeply personal as he reflects on Min-hyung’s growing doubts about Jin-seok’s motives. A search of Jin-seok’s home uncovers files for a retrial and a haunting question about his whereabouts during Jeong-woo’s fiancée’s murder. These discoveries trigger Jeong-woo to question everything he thought he knew.
In Episode 8, the tension reaches a boiling point. Jin-seok is arrested but denies killing Jeong-woo’s fiancée. His account—seeing a man who resembled Jeong-woo fleeing the scene—plants a seed of doubt. Could Jeong-woo himself be implicated? As secrets emerge, Jeong-woo learns about a car accident he doesn’t remember, erasing any certainty about his own alibi.
As Min-hyung unravels more connections between Jin-seok and Nam Gi-taek’s death, Jeong-woo’s mother becomes a central figure in the mystery. Her actions, including erasing critical hospital records, point to a desperate attempt to protect her son, but from what?
The stakes rise when Jin-seok recalls finding a watch engraved with initials at the crime scene. The episode climaxes with Min-hyung and Jeong-woo discovering Jin-seok’s lifeless body in his apartment, surrounded by blood and chilling evidence. Jeong-woo’s presence at the scene raises even more questions.
With each twist, Episodes 7 and 8 pull viewers deeper into a labyrinth of lies, betrayal, and dark secrets. As suspicions swirl around Jeong-woo, and Min-hyung races against time to uncover the truth, one thing becomes clear: no one can be trusted.
DramaZen's Opinion
Episodes 7 and 8 of Face Me are an emotional and psychological whirlwind that had me hooked from start to finish. The way the show weaves together suspense, character development, and shocking twists is nothing short of genius.
Episode 7’s opening, with Jeong-woo and Min-hyung rushing to save Hyo-ju, was so intense! Jeong-woo’s flashbacks to his fiancée’s murder added a layer of vulnerability to his character, and Min-hyung continues to shine as the fearless detective piecing together these tangled threads. The revelations about Jin-seok and his connection to Nam Gi-taek’s death were unexpected and added so much depth to the story.
Then there’s Episode 8—what a rollercoaster. Jin-seok’s claim that Jeong-woo might have been at the murder scene turned everything upside down. The hints about Jeong-woo’s memory loss and his mother’s mysterious actions make me question everything I thought I knew about his innocence. And that cliffhanger? Finding Jin-seok dead with Jeong-woo right there—it gave me chills.
I love how Face Me keeps me guessing. The mix of dark secrets, emotional stakes, and edge-of-your-seat suspense is exactly what I look for in a drama.
