No Gain, No Love- Episode 6
The episode kicks off with Son Hae-yeong hilariously imagining that Kim Ji-uk was the one who filed a complaint against her at work. In her over-the-top fantasy, he only agreed to marry her so he could dramatically push her off a building. However, when Ji-uk walks into the room, he quickly sets the record straight. He informs the panel that not only is he not a victim, but he’s actually her husband, and what they’re dealing with are just typical marital squabbles.
After leaving the room, the two retreat to the terrace, where Ji-uk playfully sulks, offended that Hae-yeong thought he’d report her, especially after all the times he’s protected her. They clear the air and resolve to face everything together. Even when their office colleagues bombard them with questions, they stand their ground, reminding everyone with confidence (and a touch of humor) that being married is not a crime.
On the flip side, Nam Ja-yeon wakes from a nightmare where she’s hiding in a closet as her father tries to hit her. When she wakes up, she’s startled to see Bok Gyu-hyun lying on the floor nearby. Gyu-hyun explains that she fainted, and he took care of her hospital bill. Ja-yeon insists on paying him back, but the situation turns comical when she learns she was put in a VIP room, and he even bought her a new phone. She starts seeing Gyu-hyun in a new light, suspecting he might be a wealthy, jobless kid. To balance things out, she suggests he do some community service, adding a playful layer to their growing chemistry.
Hae-young and Ji-uk make an effort to patch things up with the whistleblower, Gi-un, and clear the air. Back at the office the next day, they finally come clean, openly acknowledging that they are indeed a married couple and ask their colleagues for support moving forward.
Meanwhile, a mysterious man shows up at Kim Ji-uk’s place, asking suspicious questions about his marriage to an older woman. This raises alarms that the man might be working for the company chairman—Bok Gyu-hyun’s father. To get to the bottom of it, Ji-uk cleverly hides a recording device in the man’s shoe. His hunch proves right—the chairman is indeed involved, hinting that Ji-uk might actually be the chairman’s illegitimate son, a revelation that adds an intriguing twist to the story.
Kim Ji-uk and Son Hae-yeong’s chemistry continues to deepen in this episode. Ji-uk buys the wedding ring that Hae-yeong had originally rented for their fake marriage, leaving her to wonder if he’s developing feelings for her or if there’s someone else in his life. From Ji-uk’s side, it’s clear he’s definitely falling for her, though he’s doing his best to keep those feelings hidden.
Bok Gyu-hyun unexpectedly runs into Ji-uk at the orphanage while fulfilling his promise of community service to Ja-yeon. The two end up bonding in an unexpectedly warm way, almost as if it’s a glimpse of a brotherly connection forming. To prove he kept his word, Gyu-hyun snaps a photo of himself at the orphanage and sends it to Ja-yeon.
Later, they’re invited to a press conference for a child abuse campaign, which is also attended by the chairman, his wife, Bok Gyu-hyun, An U-jae, and Kwon I-rin. After the event, the chairman invites everyone to stay for dinner, showing a particular interest in Ji-uk and Hae-yeong’s relationship, subtly hinting that he might be Ji-uk’s father.
The episode wraps up with a hilarious twist: after a night of drinking at the party, Ji-uk and Hae-yeong wake up in the same bed, only to find that An U-jae is there too, awkwardly third-wheeling and adding to the comedic chaos.
DramaZen's Opinion
OMG! I literally almost cried laughing at the ending when U-jae popped up from under the blanket in bed with them—absolutely hilarious!
On a more serious note, I was so proud of Ji-uk for finally standing up to his supposed father at the dinner. That took serious guts, and I’m glad he made it clear where he stands after being abandoned. The chairman badgering Hae-young throughout the dinner was so out of line! Those questions were way too invasive and none of his business, but hey, it’s a drama, so I’ll let it slide.
I’m also really loving how Hae-young and Ji-uk are slowly growing closer. Even though Ji-uk likes to keep his emotions mysterious, I think Hae-young is starting to realize that this marriage might not be as fake as it seems. His decision to buy the ring really shows his true feelings.
And let’s not forget about Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeon! Their interactions are just so fun, and I’m really rooting for a whirlwind romance between them. With her vivid imagination for risqué situations and his pure-hearted nature, this could get really interesting. LOL!
