Exposed Secrets, A School Transformed, and the Return of the Queen

Episode 9 of Undercover High School serves up everything: a shocking attack, big reveals, and a heartwarming school-wide redemption. With Myeong-ju’s schemes unraveling and Hae-seong finally making peace with his past, the episode is packed with emotional highs, triumphant wins, and one jaw-dropping return. Let’s get into it!

A Break-In Turns Violent

The episode kicks off with Soo-a entering Hae-seong’s house—only to walk in on a masked intruder. The man pulls a knife, and in the struggle, Soo-a is stabbed. The attacker flees just before Hae-seong arrives. In a panic, he rushes her to the hospital.

At the hospital, Hae-seong is shaken. Though Soo-a is stable, she hasn’t woken up yet. His team arrives, but there’s clear tension between him and Seok-ho. Something’s brewing beneath the surface.

Back at school, Ri-an takes over Soo-a’s class, telling students she’s away for personal reasons. But one student—whose father runs the hospital—spills the tea: Hae-seong took her there. Cue rumors!

Meanwhile, Yoo-jung and Ye-na share a quiet moment. Yoo-jung mentions prepping for a math competition, which visibly rattles Ye-na—who now knows those rankings were never real.

Betrayals and Missing Clues

When Soo-a finally wakes up, she shares her suspicions with Hae-seong: Lee Jun-ho. That’s quickly confirmed—Young-hoon finds that the DNA at Hae-seong’s house matches Jun-ho’s.

Back at school, Jun-ho sits with Myeong-ju, demanding protection in exchange for his loyalty. He hands over Hae-seong’s father's notebook, but Myeong-ju is disappointed to find it holds no info about the fourth ghost story. Then it clicks—Hae-seong may know more than he’s letting on.

Ye-na, now wracked with guilt, asks her mother to keep the math competition fair. Myeong-ju? Not a chance.

Jaws, Flash Drives, and Secret Plans

Elsewhere, Principal Park drives Jun-ho to an abandoned car lot. Yep—he plans to kill him. But Young-hoon and Mi-jung are watching… until they’re caught and tied up with Jun-ho inside a car headed for the crusher.

Cue Hae-seong’s hero moment. He arrives just in time, takes out the goons (and Park!), and saves his friends. Jun-ho is taken to see Soo-a, who confronts him about his betrayal. He confesses that Myeong-ju made him do it. She tells him to make things right.

Hae-seong hides Jun-ho in a safe house, confiscating his phone. He then calls Seok-ho and lays out the plan: wait until 7 a.m., then turn Jun-ho over to the police. But he doesn't go home—he stakes out the safe house, testing Seok-ho’s loyalty.

A flashback shows little Si-hyun running away, claiming he’s an orphan. Seok-ho finds him and promises to be his family until his real father returns.

In the morning, no one comes for Jun-ho. Hae-seong calls Seok-ho, finally at peace. They joke about grabbing a meal—tension lifted.

The Fall of Myeong-ju

Back at school, Myeong-ju walks into her office and finds Hae-seong waiting. He shows her the news—Jun-ho is being arrested, and he’s turned over a flash drive proving Myeong-ju orchestrated the cheating scandal.

As if on cue, the police arrive and arrest her and Principal Park. Game over.

On the school rooftop, Hae-seong tells Soo-a it was all possible because of her. Down at the station, Myeong-ju is visited by Director Kim. He tells her Edu-City is done and dusted. Her chilling response? “What can a mad woman do when she’s lost everything?”

Truth, Trust, and Transformation

Later, over a meal, Seok-ho and Hae-seong have a heart-to-heart. Hae-seong admits he suspected Seok-ho of working with Myeong-ju. Seok-ho reveals that on the day Hae-seong’s father vanished, he called to warn Seok-ho about Director Kim. But Seok-ho arrived too late.

He’s carried that guilt ever since, but Hae-seong reassures him—their bond is stronger than suspicion.

At school, Hae-seong asks Dong-min about the final ghost story. No one knows it, but Dong-min warns: anyone who does vanishes. Dun dun dunnn.

In the staff room, Vice Principal Baek announces that a vice-commissioner is visiting. He assigns Soo-a to lead the tour. Meanwhile, Ye-na hears whispers about benefiting from the cheating scandal. Anxious, she begins scratching her old scars. Soo-a notices and gently reassures her—it’s not her fault.

Yoo-jung finds Hae-seong and thanks him for helping change the school. While walking, Hae-seong sees a paper on the notice board and finally deciphers the earlier clue: “the bead” might refer to Seo Byeong-mun himself.

In class, Soo-a promises to ensure the cheating scandal never repeats. Her students, seeing her overwhelmed with tour duties and cleaning tasks, band together and clean the school for her. It’s the most heartwarming scene yet.

The Queen Returns

The next day, as officials arrive for the vice-commissioner’s visit, Myeong-ju suddenly appears. Everyone is stunned. Hae-seong races to the lobby, where she smugly pulls the label off his uniform and tells him to stop playing games. What is she planning now?

The episode closes with a tender moment: Soo-a waking up in the hospital, finding Hae-seong asleep by her bedside. She smiles, brushing his hair before pretending to sleep when he stirs.

Expelled, Exposed, and a Hidden Tomb

Episode 10 of Undercover High School is packed with shocking revelations, a fake-out expulsion, surprise allies (including a chicken gang?!), and an emotional discovery that changes everything. Myeong-ju’s power play hits hard, but Hae-seong fights back with the help of loyal friends—and one unforgettable twist. Let’s get into it!

Return of the Queen (Villain Edition)

We open with Seo Myeong-ju and Principal Park marching into Byeongmun High like they never left. In the school foyer, Hae-seong confronts them, but Park silences the staff and Myeong-ju drops a bomb—she knows about the “bead and rising sun” clue. Then she drops another: Hae-seong is expelled.

Hae-seong says his goodbyes and heads out, his team suspecting that Director Kim helped Myeong-ju make her comeback. But before they can act, internal NIS investigators raid their HQ and plant illegal cash, arresting Seok-ho on the spot.

Later, Myeong-ju calls Hae-seong, smugly calling it her “parting gift.” She warns him to stop digging—and threatens Soo-a. That night, Soo-a finds Hae-seong drinking at a tent bar and encourages him to keep going. She gives him the student council book with his father’s photo.

Back in the Game

Seok-ho calls Hae-seong from detainment: the team has been dismantled. But Hae-seong refuses to give up. His team rallies around him once again. Meanwhile, Myeong-ju and Director Kim meet—and instead of thanking him for helping her, she reminds him she made him director. Power? Check.

Back at school, students learn that meals are now assigned by grades. Dong-min is stuck waiting while top scorers eat first. Yoo-jung secretly updates Hae-seong—unaware Ye-na is listening.

The Fake Fourth Story

At his place, Hae-seong shows the team a supposed fourth ghost story—about a computer with writing from a dead teacher. But since computers didn’t exist back then, he realizes: his father created a fake fourth story to mislead Myeong-ju.

That means the real clue lies in the line: “When the one with the bead faces the red sun, the gold will shine.”

The “bead” is Seo Byeong-mun. The “red sun”? Likely a reference to Japan. They conclude the bust of Seo Byeong-mun at school could be the key.

Infiltration & Exposure

Hae-seong sneaks into school disguised as a delivery man. Soo-a sees through him and follows him to the bust. They discover it can rotate—but before they can explore, Vice Principal Baek shows up. Soo-a distracts him while Hae-seong slips away.

Unfortunately, Baek tattles to Myeong-ju, who realizes Hae-seong snuck in and sends him “her second gift.”Meanwhile, Ye-na confronts her mom about knowing Hae-seong isn’t a student. Myeong-ju brushes her off.

The next morning, the school receives damning photos of Hae-seong and Soo-a, painting their relationship as inappropriate. Just as Soo-a is summoned, Hae-seong makes a bold entrance into the classroom. He grabs Park’s hand off Soo-a and confesses the truth: he’s 31 years old.

He tells the stunned class he returned to school to earn his diploma—and yes, he likes Soo-a.

The students cheer. Myeong-ju storms in, watching her plan fall apart. Hae-seong smirks and tells her to watch her back.

A Daughter’s Betrayal and a Gang Reunion

Myeong-ju suspects Ye-na helped Hae-seong. She’s right. Ye-na admits it and asks Hae-seong if he came to school for her mom. He says he’ll explain later. Myeong-ju retaliates by announcing Ye-na is being sent abroad.

Later, Soo-a’s mother drops the biggest surprise of the night: she used to be part of the “Bloody Chicken Gang.” She calls in her old gang members to help the mission—yes, really.

Showdown at the School

With the plan in motion, Soo-a and Hae-seong prepare to uncover the gold bars that night. As Myeong-ju connects the clue to the rotating bust, she races to the school—only to be met by a barricade formed by the Bloody Chicken Gang.

Hae-seong steps forward and introduces himself as an NIS agent, claiming they’re investigating a North Korean spy hidden in the school. Myeong-ju tries calling Director Kim—but Mi-jung prevents him from answering.

While Myeong-ju is distracted, Hae-seong rotates the bust. The door slides aside, revealing a trapdoor. He heads down.

A Heartbreaking Discovery

Inside the underground chamber, there are no gold bars. Just a skeleton, wearing a familiar watch.

It’s his father.

The episode closes with Hae-seong facing the truth he’s feared for years.

Confessions, Comebacks, and a Gut-Punch Twist

Episodes 9 and 10 of Undercover High School were a full-blown emotional and narrative rollercoaster. From secret identities being revealed to long-awaited justice finally catching up with Myeong-ju, these episodes had everything we’ve been waiting for—and then some.

In Episode 9, Hae-seong’s truth bomb in front of the class? ICONIC. The confession, the support from the students, and Soo-a standing her ground? Pure catharsis. And the way the cheating scandal crumbled while the school began to heal? So satisfying.

Then Episode 10 hit us with that twist. Soo-a’s mom turning out to be a gang legend (??), an underground chamber beneath the school, and that ending—Hae-seong finding his father’s skeleton? Absolutely heart-wrenching.

These two episodes perfectly balanced drama, redemption, and suspense. The stakes are higher than ever, and Myeong-ju may be on the ropes—but she’s not out yet. Episode 11 can’t come soon enough. 👏🔥
