Aoshima-kun wa Ijiwaru- Episode 2
Kisses, Confusion, and Rooftop Revelations
Episode 2 of Aoshima-kun wa Ijiwaru brought us even more tension, miscommunication, and a hint of romantic progress, leaving us glued to our screens and desperate for what’s next! Here’s how it all unfolded:
The episode picks up right where we left off—Yukino, caught completely off guard by Aoshima’s surprise kiss, apologizes in her flustered state and runs off. Aoshima, meanwhile, is left standing there, confused as to why she’s the one apologizing. Classic Yukino.
The next day, Yukino confides in her best friend, Takako, about the kiss. Takako, ever the voice of chaos, suggests that Yukino simply “go with the flow” and see where this could lead. But true to form, Yukino is resistant, preferring the solitude and stability of her meticulously organized life.
When a task forces her to deliver a document to Aoshima’s department, Yukino tries to avoid him but, of course, fate has other plans. She bumps into him, and in a panic, drags him into a meeting room for a private conversation. Yukino insists they end their fake dating arrangement, but Aoshima flat-out refuses, smirking as he says, “I’d hate to part with such a wonderful girlfriend.” His playful teasing clearly gets under Yukino’s skin, but we can’t help but notice there’s a deeper undertone in his words.
With a three-day weekend break on the horizon, the office buzzes with everyone’s holiday plans. Pressured to keep up appearances, Yukino lies, claiming she’s going on a romantic trip with Aoshima. In reality, she spends the break at home, struggling to find anywhere to go since everything is already booked. Meanwhile, Aoshima spends time with his dad’s ex-wives, who have remained motherly figures in his life. He shares the story of the kiss gone wrong and Yukino’s surprising apology. Their advice? Stop teasing her so much, or it’ll come back to bite him.
Just before the break ends, Yukino ventures out to her favorite bar to unwind, only to run into—you guessed it—Aoshima. The two share a surprisingly pleasant evening chatting and eating over drinks. When he suggests a second round at another spot, she agrees, and they find themselves on a quiet rooftop, sharing an unexpectedly intimate moment under the stars.
Yukino, however, gets tipsy, and Aoshima takes on the responsibility of carrying her home. In a comedic twist of fate, the two end up in her apartment after a tumble onto the floor. As Aoshima pins her down, their proximity creates a charged moment, and Yukino can’t help but wonder if he might kiss her again. Cue dramatic tension and a cut to black, leaving us on the edge of our seats!
DramaZen's Opinion
Episode 2 perfectly balanced humor, romantic tension, and character development. Yukino’s mix of awkwardness and independence is a joy to watch, especially when it clashes with Aoshima’s cheeky, confident personality. The fake dating trope continues to deliver delightful moments, from office gossip to rooftop drinks.
Aoshima’s interactions with his father’s ex-wives were a fun glimpse into his life outside the office, adding layers to his character. Meanwhile, Yukino’s inner conflict over her feelings was relatable and endearing. The rooftop scene was a standout moment, building up the tension beautifully before the hilariously chaotic end at Yukino’s apartment.
This episode deepened the chemistry between Yukino and Aoshima while keeping the humor and charm alive. With that cliffhanger, we can’t wait to see how their relationship evolves next week!
