My Dearest Nemesis- Episodes 7-8
Closet Crushes, Office Secrets & a Fountain Kiss!
Episode 7 of My Dearest Nemesis is pure bubbly rom-com bliss with just the right amount of emotional angst! We’ve got changing room chaos, love confessions, sneaky matchmaking, and a kiss at a fountain that made our hearts do somersaults. If you weren’t already head over heels for Ju-yeon and Su-jeong, this episode will definitely do the trick.
We pick up with Su-jeong on her second date with Ji-wu, but let’s be real—her mind is 100% on Ju-yeon. Speak of the devil, he calls mid-date, shows up in his concert clothes, and drags her into a changing room to talk about the kiss.
But before things get too steamy, an employee tries to open the door and Su-jeong bolts out, flustered AF, yelling something about fixing her shirt. She even creates a diversion so Ju-yeon can escape—iconic chaotic energy.
Overwhelmed, she turns down Ji-wu and runs into Ju-yeon again. He apologizes for forgetting the kiss but drops the bomb—he doesn’t regret it. Cue: Su-jeong.exe has stopped working.
That night, both of them are spiraling. Su-jeong is wondering how she fell for someone as weird and young as Ju-yeon. (Girl, we all know why.) Ju-yeon texts her—she smiles, but then ghosts him. (Rude, but relatable.)
Meanwhile, Ha-jin’s mom is pestering her to start dating, and Ha-jin accidentally lets slip that she might actually like someone. ๐
At work, Su-jeong starts making a pros and cons list of dating Ju-yeon, but the “cons” are hilariously petty—his dragon tattoo, his gamer obsession… That’s it? Girl, you’re already in deep.
Ju-yeon is officially introduced as the Chairwoman’s grandson to the public, and the internet explodes. Su-jeong sees the news and realizes… maybe a girl like her and a chaebol heir aren’t meant to be. She deletes the list.
Ju-yeon tries to talk to her, but Su-jeong shuts it down, reminding him that she’s his subordinate and dating the heir of Yongsung could ruin her career. He’s clearly heartbroken, but he knows she’s right.
Poor Shin-won is still lovesick over Ha-jin. He refuses to go on a date at her restaurant just to avoid making her uncomfortable. Turns out… he’s been wandering around her neighborhood just to catch a glimpse of her. ๐ข
At the same time, Ju-yeon can’t help but notice Su-jeong has a “mysterious date” and immediately freaks out… only to find her having lunch with her family.
Mr. Baek and Su-bin welcome him warmly (we LOVE this approval arc), and Su-bin even gives Ju-yeon the talk.
Su-bin: “If you hurt my sister, I’ll hurt you.”
Ju-yeon (serious face): “I won’t break her heart.”
Okay, protect him at all costs. ๐ญ๐
Back at Yongsung HQ, Ju-yeon’s maid accidentally spills to the Chairwoman that she’s not allowed to clean his study. Uh-oh.
Cue panic mode. Su-jeong offers to help, and with the help of Ha-jin, Shin-won, and Kwon, they all try to delay Grandmother’s surprise visit. Spoiler: it doesn’t work.
Inside the study, Grandmother finds a planted family photo—but instead of warming her heart, it triggers rage. She smashes it, blaming Ju-yeon again for her son’s death. She orders Kwon to keep a close eye on him.
Su-jeong helps clean up afterward, and Ju-yeon opens up about his complicated family.
“Everything I love has had to be a secret… but not my feelings for you.”
Excuse us while we melt into a puddle. ๐ญ๐
Later that night, Su-jeong can’t stop thinking about him. Her dad notices how sad she looks and she reassures him—it’s not his fault.
She rushes out and finds Ju-yeon standing by the fountain (yes, it’s that romantic). She asks him:
“If our relationship ever became public, would you be okay with it?”
His answer? YES.
Su-jeong (softly): “I like you too.”
AND THEN THEY KISS. AGAIN. UNDER THE STARS. BY THE FOUNTAIN. ๐ญ๐
We cut to a shot of Ju-yeon’s boxes in Su-jeong’s attic… one of them labeled “Black Dragon.”
Cue the collective gasp.
Love is in the Air (and the Attic!)
Episode 8 of My Dearest Nemesis is a rom-com lover’s dream come true—full of swoony moments, adorable chaos, secret dating shenanigans, and a final twist that left us SCREAMING. Let’s just say, love is blooming, but so is the truth—and our OTP is this close to the ultimate reveal!
The episode kicks off with our favorite new couple, Su-jeong and Ju-yeon, being the absolute softest. They’re walking in circles, giggling, and Ju-yeon is adorably nervous to hold her hand until she grabs his first (cue squeals).
They keep skirting around their gaming past, but every time they’re about to connect the dots—bam, interrupted.
Before parting ways, Ju-yeon flashes a rock-n-roll hand sign, then sweetly tells her it actually means “I love you” in sign language. Su-jeong sends him a selfie making the same sign, and he is literally glowing. ๐ฅน
Elsewhere, Ha-jin brushes off CEO Lee, and Shin-won unfollows her account (drama!). They both end up at a class reunion, dodging nosy classmates and hiding out on the rooftop together.
Ha-jin opens up about her ex who cheated right after marriage, while Shin-won promises he’s always sincere. She even knows he used to lurk around Sulo just to see her.
Ha-jin: “Wanna sleep with me?”
Shin-won (flustered): “Only if we’re dating.”
Ha-jin (swooning): “Guess we need to date then.”
UM. YES. WE SHIP. ๐ข๐
Ju-yeon pops by to visit Su-jeong, only to be ambushed by Mr. Baek and Su-bin. Mr. Baek fake-hunts for a document, while Su-bin glares like a guard dog, imagining dramatic K-drama scenes of the Chairwoman splashing water and money at Su-jeong.
But under all the dramatics, Su-bin’s words land. He doesn’t want his sister to get hurt. ๐
It’s Day 1 of Secret Office Dating, and naturally, it's a hilarious mess. Anytime someone’s nearby, Su-jeong yells at Ju-yeon to play it cool, and he sulks adorably every time.
To make matters worse, Deputy Yang starts rambling about how Su-jeong prefers older, mature men, and Ju-yeon quietly seethes while assigning him to shred mountains of paper. ๐
Later, Su-jeong is shocked to find out Ha-jin and Shin-won are officially dating, and the couple’s casual convo about Ju-yeon liking “sweet, soft girls” has Su-jeong secretly fuming.
Meanwhile, Ju-yeon is stressed about his first official date look—because chaebol rules = no anime shirts. Thankfully, Su-jeong shows up with coordinated couple outfits that are chaebol-approved.
They’re vibing… until Ju-yeon plays a song from their past gaming days. Su-jeong freezes—it was a song tied to her mysterious first love.
Ju-yeon: “Let’s make this song ours.”
Us: ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
Ju-yeon is happily scrolling through their soft-launch pics when Shin-won drops by and realizes the mystery girlfriend is SU-JEONG. Cue jaw drop. ๐ฑ
But he keeps it quiet, especially since the two are looking happier than ever. Even Kwon is starting to suspect something’s up after catching Su-jeong blushing and bolting from a meeting.
Meanwhile, Ju-yeon wants an excuse to see Su-jeong, so he texts her to look for his manga in her attic, where his things are secretly stored.
But as she’s rummaging, she stumbles across something game-changing.
Ju-yeon shows up at her place, but instead of a sweet reunion, Su-jeong looks serious.
She holds out a necklace.
Su-jeong: “Are you... Black Dragon?”
The same necklace from 15 years ago. The one he wore when he first proposed to her in-game.
WE. ARE. SHAKING.
DramaZen's Opinion
Soft Launches, Secret Dating & THE Reveal?!
Episodes 7 & 8 were a whirlwind of adorable romance, chaotic close calls, and heart-melting moments—with a massive bombshell waiting at the end.
Episode 7 gave us hand-holding nervous Ju-yeon, sign language confessions (๐ญ), and secret date chaos. I loved watching Su-jeong slowly fall for him while still fighting her feelings. And don’t even get me started on that fountain kiss—absolute K-drama magic.
Then Episode 8 brought us peak rom-com energy with secret office dating disasters, Su-bin being the most dramatic little brother ever, and Ju-yeon fully living his soft-boy fantasy. But that ending??
Su-jeong: “Are you... Black Dragon?”
Me, on the floor, screaming into a pillow.
๐ Rating: 12/10
๐ Highlight: That casual “I love you” in sign language AND the attic box reveal.
๐ฎ Mood: “I was rooting for you! I was ROOTING for you!” but also “KISS AGAIN PLEASE.”
If this is how explosive the love story is, I cannot wait to see what happens when the truth is fully out. Let the emotional chaos begin! ๐ญ๐ฅ
