First Loves, Big Fights & A Kiss in the Rain (Almost!)

Episode 9 of My Dearest Nemesis gave us all the feels—heartbreak, nostalgia, steamy tension, and one very emotional reunion that had us teary-eyed and cheering at the same time. Our favorite gamer-turned-chaebol and his fierce, independent rival have hit a serious bump in the road, and this episode is a beautiful mess of love, regret, and finally... clarity. Let’s dive in!

We begin with the reveal—Su-jeong connects the dots about her mysterious first love, Black Dragon, and the realization hits hard: it was Ju-yeon all along. She hands him the manga tied to their shared past and runs back inside, overwhelmed.

Cue a flashback to Su-jeong’s childhood: wrongly blamed for hurting a classmate, she decides to never lean on anyone again—except one person. Black Dragon.

Now, knowing it was Ju-yeon all along, she’s not mad that he was a middle schooler pretending to be older—she’s hurtthat he lied.

“I don’t know who I fell for... the real you or the fake you.”

Oof. That line hurt.

Unaware of the fallout, Ha-jin and Shin-won try to play cupid, hoping a surprise meetup will soften the blow. But the damage is done. Su-jeong tells Shin-won she can’t keep dating Ju-yeon, and poor Ju-yeon is left heartbroken and confused, thinking they could’ve faced their past together.

Even Ha-jin, usually calm and collected, believes Su-jeong is just afraid to be vulnerable again.

At work, Ju-yeon tries to stay cool... until he can’t. He confronts her, apologizes for his lie, and begs her to see how he’s changed. But her response is sharp:

“You say you’ve changed, but I haven’t. So how can I believe you have?”

Cut to: Ju-yeon drinking his sorrows away and realizing just how deeply his past actions hurt her.

Of course, fate throws salt on the wound. A photo of Ju-yeon dining with the Baeks leaks online, and the rumor mill goes wild—is Su-jeong marrying Yongsung’s heir?!

Cue the office whispers, side-eyes, and Su-jeong once again being unfairly judged. Ju-yeon tries to explain to Kwon that it was a coincidence—but it’s too late.

Chairwoman Ban is furious, demanding Su-jeong be fired. Ju-yeon shuts it down, but Grandmother isn’t done—she warns Kwon to watch Ju-yeon more closely.

When Su-jeong checks in on him after the scolding, Ju-yeon gives her the cold shoulder, reminding her they’re not a couple anymore. (Ouch. Someone’s heart is definitely still broken.)

Later, as rain pours, Su-jeong heads out to buy an umbrella, but all she can think about are her happy memories with Ju-yeon—especially the moment he asked her to stop clinging to the past and just live in the present with him. 😭

She starts crying in front of her family. Su-bin’s ready to fight Ju-yeon, but she admits: she dumped him. Mr. Baek looks heartbroken too. And just when we think Ju-yeon might show up with an umbrella… he turns back. UGH.

The next day at work, things are icy between them. Even Deputy Yang thinks it's better this way—maybe the rumors will fade now. (Sigh. Let me enjoy my ship in peace, Yang.)

Meanwhile, Ha-jin and Shin-won are growing closer, even though he’s still hanging around Sulo cleaning floors just to be near her. He’s happy just being in her orbit. (Sir, that’s devotion.)

Despite the heartbreak, Su-jeong still cares. When Ju-yeon is late to work, she learns he’s sick and trying to hide it so the Chairwoman won’t find out. Kwon’s worried, and so is she.

She tries to ignore it. But nope—our girl grabs her bag and RUNS.

At Ju-yeon’s place, she finds him passed out on the floor. She tucks him in and quietly apologizes for ignoring his pain.

When he wakes, he stops her from leaving.

“I’m glad you were my first love. I don’t regret it.”
Su-jeong: “I still love you.”

Cue the kiss. Cue the sobbing. Cue the REWATCH. 💋💥💖

Just when we think our hearts can rest, the episode ends with a bombshell:

A notice goes out… Ju-yeon has been fired.

His office is being cleared out. Everyone stares. And we’re left STUNNED.

Fired, Rehired, and Rom-Com Chaos Galore!

Episode 10 of My Dearest Nemesis is a total emotional buffet—heartfelt reunions, swoon-worthy home cooking, career shake-ups, and one jaw-dropping comeback. From attic manga dates to boardroom bombshells, this episode served cozy vibes and corporate chaos in equal measure. Let’s get into all the bubbly goodness!

We kick things off with Su-jeong and Ju-yeon being full-on adorable and clingy, cuddled up and refusing to part ways. They fall asleep like that (romance goals, honestly), and in classic K-drama fashion, Su-jeong tries to sneak in the next morning… only to get caught by Dad.

But surprise! Mr. Baek is totally chill and just wants her to be happy. 🥺 (Give this man a medal.)

Unfortunately, reality hits hard—Ju-yeon is officially fired, thanks to the Chairwoman discovering his romance with Su-jeong. Secretary Kwon tries to cover for him, but Grandmother is not having it.

Kwon takes responsibility and resigns, but not before giving us all the feels with her quiet support for Ju-yeon and his relationship.

“At least you have Su-jeong. That’s something real.” 💔

Ju-yeon begs for one more chance, but Grandma is ice cold, calling him a “defect.” Crushed, he leaves, and Su-jeong can only watch, holding back tears as he breaks down alone in his car.

Determined not to waste their new freedom, the lovebirds plan cute dates and Su-jeong agrees to go to one of Ju-yeon’s concerts (finally!).

Meanwhile, Shin-won drops the most romantic bomb—he wants to spend his life with Ha-jin. 😭

Ju-yeon also gets a tear-jerking goodbye with Kwon, who’s known all his secrets but stayed by his side. (We’re gonna miss her 😢)

Out of a job but full of heart, Ju-yeon decides to hang out at the Baek house, where he gets grilled (lovingly) by Su-bin. Cue brotherly bickering and the bombshell: Su-jeong has only ever cried over Black Dragon… and Ju-yeon. 💔

So what does Ju-yeon do? He starts helping out the Baek men with odd jobs and home chores. YES, our man is in his domestic era.

Dinner time = chaotic cuteness. Ju-yeon cooks, the Baeks adopt him, and everyone fights over sleeping arrangements. (They end up all passed out in the hall like a human pile of affection.)

Later, Su-jeong texts him to meet her in the attic, where they geek out over manga. (This is love, your honor.) Ju-yeon promises never to make her cry again, and honestly? We believe him. 🥹

Su-jeong gets transferred to the technical department (ugh, shady), but she holds her head high and publicly admits she’s dating Ju-yeon. Iconic queen behavior.

Even the once-icy female superior cracks, admitting she only ever disliked Su-jeong because of her strong work ethic. Growth! 👏

Meanwhile, Ha-jin deals with her own drama when her ex and meddling mom show up. Shin-won swoops in like a K-drama hero, defends her, and gets punched for it. We love one loyal nerd. 🥹

But later, Ha-jin panics—did she scare him off? (Girl, no. Shin-won is in this for life.)

Ju-yeon suspects something’s off when Su-jeong acts evasive on the phone. Turns out, she’s been summoned by the Chairwoman herself. Gulp.

Su-jeong doesn’t back down. Instead, she fiercely defends Ju-yeon, saying no one else will give as much to Yongsung as he does—not even the fancy new hire, Park Ji-cheol.

“No one will work harder for your legacy than your grandson.”
Us: 👏👏👏

Ju-yeon later finds her in her new uniform and realizes she’s been putting up with all this for him. She says it’s for herself and for love. Excuse us while we melt.

Shin-won, ever the sweetheart, brings gifts galore for Ha-jin’s mom and babbles about Sulo’s security. Ha-jin feels overwhelmed by his concern and asks him to ease off.

He won’t—because he’s ready to share everything with her. But she walks off, unsure. (We’re rooting for you, Shin-won!)

Then, just when we think the episode is winding down…

The business agreement ceremony for Yongsung’s renewal project begins. Chairwoman Ban is ready to crown her new favorite.

BUT THEN—

Ju-yeon struts in, full CEO energy, and reintroduces himself as the new director.

Mic. Drop. 🎤🔥

DramaZen's Opinion

Opinion of My Dearest Nemesis (2025)

Heartbreak, Healing, and a Glorious Comeback!

Whew—Episodes 9 and 10 had me riding an emotional rollercoaster with no seatbelt! 😭💘

Episode 9 broke my heart in the best K-drama way. Su-jeong finding out Ju-yeon was Black Dragon? Gut-wrenching. The misunderstanding, the cold stares, the rain scene (!!), and then… the fever care + emotional kiss? Absolute perfection. My soul left my body.

Then came Episode 10, which gave us full domestic rom-com delight with Ju-yeon cooking for the Baek men, attic manga dates, and secret handholding cuteness. But of course, it wasn't all fluff—the Chairwoman drama, Su-jeong’s demotion, and Ju-yeon being fired had me screaming.

BUT THAT ENDING?? Ju-yeon crashing the business ceremony and reintroducing himself as the director?? ICONIC. LEGENDARY. 10/10 drama entrance.

💯 Rating: 13/10
📌 Highlight: That one-two punch of angst and comfort, rain and ramen, heartbreak and healing.
🔥 Mood: “I’ll cry, but I’ll cry with my whole chest.”

I’m SO ready for Episode 11. Give me more swoony chaos, please. 🙏💥
