Meet Morita Aoi, a reserved and self-conscious employee at an advertising agency, and her enigmatic boss, Kurosawa Tomoya, whose stern demeanor has earned him a reputation as the office’s most intimidating figure. It’s been three years since Aoi joined the company, and every day feels like a trial as she navigates the challenges of her work under Kurosawa’s intense gaze.
The tension between them takes a dramatic turn during an elevator ride. When a senior director mocks Aoi for her height and apparent lack of confidence, she braces herself to endure the humiliation. Meanwhile, the agency’s office is alive with budding romantic tensions. Rei Sakamoto, Aoi’s peer, gets the opportunity to work alongside his senior crush, the confident and polished Ayaka Ichikawa. Elsewhere, another colleague, Ojin Kyo, is swept up in daydreams about her ideal man, a muscular newcomer named Oshima Hotaru, whose mere presence sets her imagination ablaze.
Back to Aoi and Kurosawa: their dynamic takes an unforeseen turn when a casual work event leads them to share drinks together. As alcohol loosens inhibitions, the seemingly cold Kurosawa surprises Aoi with glimpses of a softer, more personable side. But just as she begins to think she might truly understand him, Kurosawa pulls back. Walking her home, he flashes a rare and disarming smile in response to her compliment. His words, however, strike a bittersweet chord:
"Take a good look. This will be the last time you see it."
What does Kurosawa’s cryptic comment mean? Is he guarding a hidden vulnerability, or is he pushing Aoi away just as their connection deepens? Episode 1 sets the stage for an office drama brimming with tension, humor, and the tantalizing promise of romance.

Can we talk about Episode 1? I’m already obsessed with this drama! From the very first scene, I felt like I was Morita Aoi—awkward, unsure, and trying to figure out how to survive in a workplace full of big personalities. But then there’s Kurosawa Tomoya, her boss, who’s this walking contradiction: stoic, intimidating, and somehow... weirdly captivating? Like, how does someone so cold manage to be so intriguing at the same time?
The elevator scene was EVERYTHING. Aoi getting teased by the director broke my heart, but when Kurosawa stepped in and defended her? I got chills. It was one of those moments that’s so subtle but feels HUGE. You can tell it shook Aoi to her core—honestly, same, girl! It’s that mix of protectiveness and mystery that makes Kurosawa impossible to ignore. And then, later, when they’re walking home and he smiles (yes, SMILES!), only to hit her with that line—“Take a good look. This will be the last time you see it.”—I gasped. What does that even mean?! Is he pushing her away? Protecting himself? I’m already overanalyzing every second of that scene.
And can we take a moment to appreciate how real Aoi feels? She’s not some over-the-top heroine; she’s just a woman trying to find her footing, and I love her for it. Her curiosity about Kurosawa isn’t just about romance—it’s about trying to understand someone who’s so different from her. It’s refreshing, and I’m here for her growth just as much as the romantic tension.
The side characters are a whole vibe, too. Rei Sakamoto crushing on his senior Ayaka and Ojin Kyo’s hilarious fantasies about her ideal man had me giggling. It’s such a nice balance to the intensity of Aoi and Kurosawa’s dynamic. Plus, it feels like the show is building up little love stories for everyone, and I’m all about it.
Overall, this episode had me hooked. The mix of workplace drama, personal struggles, and budding romance feels so real and so addictive. I’m already shipping Aoi and Kurosawa HARD, and I can’t wait to see where this goes. If you love slow-burn romance with characters that feel like real people, you NEED to watch this.
