Would You Marry Me- (Final) Episodes 11-12
Episode 11: Fresh Start
Episode 11 kicks off with a tense and emotional flashback of Woo-joo visiting Jessica in prison. After promising to protect Henry, Jessica finally reveals where Woo-joo can find the evidence to bring Han-gu down. But as Woo-joo leaves the visitor room, he notices a birthmark on her neck, suddenly, memories of his parents’ accident flood back, and he has a panic attack. Thankfully, Me-ri finds him and comforts him, showing once again how much they support each other through chaos.

Me-ri pieces things together too, realizing that Jessica used to work at Myunsoondang and that she and Han-gu have likely been scheming together longer than anyone thought. Meanwhile, Woo-joo tracks down the evidence at Jessica’s house and confronts Han-gu, only for Han-gu to mock him, claiming the statute of limitations protects him. But the tables quickly turn: police are waiting for Han-gu outside, ready to charge him with fraud and embezzlement, and with the dashcam evidence, Woo-joo is even able to add conspiracy to murder charges. Justice is served, and Han-gu faces the ultimate penalty.
Mi-yeon is left reeling as she confronts the truth about Han-gu’s actions, spending much of her time in tears while Pil-nyeon remains in a coma. Woo-joo, finally able to breathe a little easier, takes Me-ri to his parents’ graves, introducing her and feeling like he’s finally honoring their memory. The couple makes promises to each other, vowing love and happiness, while Sang-hyun reflects on Jin-gyeong’s advice, quietly observing their honesty and relief after confessing about the house.
Pil-nyeon eventually wakes from her coma, bringing immense joy to her family. Woo-joo excitedly calls Me-ri with the good news, and Mi-yeon apologizes to him, touched by his genuine concern, and promises to recover the money Han-gu stole.
Later, the team gathers at Won-suk’s house, and of course, the group can’t resist playing truth or dare to see if Me-ri and Woo-joo will reveal their relationship. They eventually hug and admit their feelings, and everyone is thrilled for the couple. Meanwhile, Eun-song officially cuts ties with Han-gu in prison and commits to being there for Mi-yeon.

The story also checks in with Sang-hyun, who says a quiet goodbye to his orphanage and revisits memories of his childhood hardships, including being falsely accused of stealing. Jin-gyeong joins him and, in a mix of tenderness and flirtation, promises to keep him laughing even while he’s away.
As for Woo-ju, he’s still struggling with professional rejection and jealousy. One night, drunk and bitter, he trespasses at Me-ri’s house, only to see her happy with Woo-joo. Meanwhile, Woo-joo is just the boyfriend we all wish we had: cooking breakfast, driving her to work, and making it clear he wants to care for her every step of the way.
Of course, Woo-ju isn’t done causing trouble. He emails the media and sets up a press conference to expose Woo-joo, making the tension spike once again. Me-ri warns Woo-joo, and he immediately turns back to protect her, leaving the episode on a dramatic cliffhanger as Woo-ju starts his press conference.
Episode 12: The Triumph of Love
Episode 12 kicks off with Sang-hyun buried in some confidential documents, his mind buzzing with what Sung-woo’s dad told him. Sure enough, Sung-woo stops by, expecting Sang-hyun to take the fall for his shady dealings, but Sang-hyun has already made up his mind. He calmly agrees to shoulder the blame, even asking if they were ever really friends, to which Sung-woo confidently lies “yes.” Classic Sung-woo.

Sang-hyun serves time for Beaute’s corrupt deals, but he’s not alone. He keeps in touch with Jin-gyeong through letters, and once he’s free, she invites him as her date to Woo-joo and Me-ri’s wedding. Justice and loyalty all wrapped up in one story arc.
And what about our least favorite ex, Woo-ju? Turns out his press conference was never real, it was just him practicing at home. When he tries to go live with his claims about the raffle, Sung-woo’s legal team swoops in, threatening to sue if he even breathes a word about Beaute. No one bothers to fact-check him, and to make matters worse, Sung-woo gifts the house to Me-ri, essentially putting an end to Woo-ju’s schemes. At the press conference, Woo-ju expects Me-ri to save him, but she calmly sets him straight, telling him to stop obsessing over the past. Finally, closure and Woo-ju decides to focus on himself. Good riddance.
Meanwhile, Me-ri and Woo-joo finally get a moment of relief. Woo-joo plans for Me-ri to meet Pil-nyeon and confess the truth about their mistakes, but before they can, Woo-ju’s mom and sister try to sabotage them by spinning lies to Pil-nyeon. Predictably, Pil-nyeon hesitates, which makes Me-ri anxious and insecure. Even so, Woo-joo reassures her, doing everything he can to keep her calm.

Eventually, Pil-nyeon sends Mi-yeon and Eung-soo to meet Me-ri’s family, helping everyone realize they may have judged her too quickly. With that, Pil-nyeon gives Woo-joo her blessing and even a proposal ring. Naturally, Woo-joo proposes, and Me-ri says yes without a second thought. Later, she meets Pil-nyeon to promise she’ll do better in the future.
As for the company, Woo-joo takes over Myunsoondang while Eung-soo decides to launch his own game company, everything falling into place professionally and personally.
The series wraps up on a high note: Woo-joo and Me-ri walk down the aisle together, with Sang-hyun as Jin-gyeong’s date, tying up the story with a beautiful and happy ending. We don’t get to see Sang-hyun and Jin-gyeong’s dating era, but we can imagine it’s filled with lots of fun and smiles.

Me-ri and Woo-joo’s relationship continues to melt hearts, from their quiet, sweet moments to the big proposal scene, it’s the kind of love story that makes you swoon.
Seeing Pil-nyeon wake up and give her blessing, along with Sang-hyun and Jin-gyeong getting a little closure of their own, wrapped up the series beautifully. Even Woo-ju’s antics were handled perfectly, closure without dragging the story down.
