Amidst a Snowstorm of Love- Episode 19-21 Recap
Jiang Yang heads to his master’s house, only to be met with concern from the master's daughter over his nagging injury. She insists he seek treatment immediately, but Jiang Yang, swamped with responsibilities at the billiards club and the impending China Open, keeps postponing the visit, planning to address it only after the tournament. As he prepares to leave, the master's daughter packs a generous assortment of items for him to deliver to Lin Yiyang. Upon returning to his dormitory and discovering the items, Lin Yiyang quickly deduces their origin, hinting at deeper connections and unresolved tensions. What secrets are these seemingly innocuous gifts concealing?
When Lin Yiyang spotted the meticulously arranged nine-ball pool table, his demeanor shifted instantly—an unmistakable sign that it was set up for Yin Guo. Jiang Yang, noticing the change, quickly deduced that Lin Yiyang had clashed with Yin Guo earlier and attempted to offer some comfort.
Meanwhile, back at home, Yin Guo was restless, replaying the argument with Lin Yiyang over and over in her mind. Her hope for a call from him went unfulfilled, and instead, it was her perceptive friend Zheng Yi who reached out. Sensing Yin Guo’s distress, Zheng Yi pieced together the argument and listened as Yin Guo recounted the heated exchange. Yin Guo, waiting for an apology that never came, hesitated to make the first move. Zheng Yi urged her to bridge the gap, but Yin Guo, fueled by stubborn pride, refused to be the one to apologize first. The tension continues to build, leaving both parties at an impasse.
That night, Lin Yiyang lay awake, his eyes fixed on his phone, waiting for a call from Yin Guo. He stubbornly believed it was her fault and refused to be the first to apologize. In frustration, Lin Yiyang decided to visit her directly. However, by the time he arrived, Yin Guo had already left for a tournament training session, and they narrowly missed each other.
As Yin Guo journeyed to her training, she felt the weight of their unresolved argument bearing down on her. At a service area stop, she checked her phone and saw Lin Yiyang’s missed message. She immediately called him back, only to learn that he had been nearby but had already left. The news left her heart heavy. On his drive home, Lin Yiyang passed a motorcycle shop and impulsively decided to buy a bike, seeking solace in the new purchase.
Meanwhile, Yin Guo, wracked with guilt, overheard a heartfelt apology from the driver of her coach, who was calling his wife to mend a quarrel. Inspired by his sincerity, Yin Guo found the courage to return and seek out Lin Yiyang, hoping to finally bridge the gap between them.
DramaZen's Opinion
My biggest frustration with the mother and her family is their relentless judgment of him based on something that happened when he was barely a teenager. They're clinging to a grudge against a kid who was left to fend for himself, frustrated, and lashed out at a referee—something even the old coach conceded was more about a child's misplaced anger than any true wrongdoing. The suspension alone was punishment enough, and while the coach’s decision to kick him out felt excessively harsh, what's really driving me mad is her family's inability to let go.
And don’t even get me started on her sister. She’s beyond biased and utterly infuriating. I come from a close-knit, traditional Italian family where hierarchy and respect are paramount, but I’d never just sit by while someone I care about is publicly humiliated by my own family without stepping in to defend them. It’s even worse when this humiliation happens in front of a junior who clearly still has a thing for her, despite knowing she’s in a relationship. Her refusal to set boundaries with this junior and her frustration with him only make things worse.
Moreover, she’s reluctant to introduce him to her cousin’s mom, who actually seems pretty laid-back, while he’s been open about their relationship with everyone he knows. This disparity is another major issue. Her reluctance to stand up for him and the way she’s letting her family treat him is really starting to get under my skin.
On a better note: OMG, Master He actually showed up to watch him compete! I was just as stunned as Yi Yang—what a shocker! And when Master He flashed that heartwarming smile and waved as if the past decade of silence never happened while Yi Yang gave a heartwarming bow, it was absolutely touching. My emotions are all over the place!
Yin Yang's shocking revelation that he actually has a family—he's not an orphan after all—was a game-changer! And how incredible was it when Mr. He stepped in and made that bold call to Yin Guo's very proud mother? It's about time she softens her stance and shows some understanding. Fingers crossed her perspective shifts in the upcoming episodes!
