Jiang Yang led Lin Yiyang back to Dongxincheng, a place of poignant memories and past battles. As they entered the training room, Lin Yiyang's eyes misted with tears, overwhelmed by a flood of childhood recollections. The atmosphere was heavy with nostalgia, and Lin Yiyang was deeply moved. In the lounge, he was greeted by a group of senior brothers, their presence a reminder of the bonds forged in this very place.

With the teacher’s home bustling with visitors, the students quietly made their exit, planning to visit again the following day. Meanwhile, Yin Guo, unable to publicly acknowledge her relationship with Lin Yiyang, enlisted her brother Meng Xiaodong to retrieve her belongings from home. Amidst her anxiety about her family’s situation, Meng Xiaodong revealed that Lin Yiyang's teacher had been in touch with their mother, Wu Qian. This had aroused Wu Qian’s suspicions, leading her to question Meng Xiaodong about Lin Yiyang.

At Mr. He’s memorial service, Yin Guo's heart ached as she saw Lin Yiyang grappling with his grief. Jiang Yang’s solemn announcement that Lin Yiyang would take over Dongxincheng sent ripples through the crowd, amplifying the gravity of Lin Yiyang's new responsibility. The weight of the future now pressed heavily on his shoulders, marking a new chapter fraught with challenges and expectations.

After the memorial service, Yin Guo planned to wait for Lin Yiyang, but her mother, Wu Qian, showed up unexpectedly, insisting they head home. Torn between her desire to stay and her mother’s insistence, Yin Guo hesitated. Noticing her daughter’s reluctance, Wu Qian kept silent, prompting Yin Guo to turn to her brother, Meng Xiaodong, for support. After a moment’s consideration, Wu Qian relented, allowing Yin Guo to stay a bit longer.

With her mother’s approval, Yin Guo rushed to Lin Yiyang's car, and they headed back to Dongxincheng together. The weight of the day’s events had drained Lin Yiyang, and he soon fell asleep with his head resting on Yin Guo’s lap. Understanding his exhaustion, Yin Guo sat quietly by his side.

When Lin Yiyang awoke, Yin Guo had dozed off against the backrest of the sofa. He hesitated to wake her, instead opting to gently cover her with a blanket. Just then, Chen Anan knocked on the door, stirring Yin Guo awake. As Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo talked, they touched on deeply personal subjects. Lin Yiyang expressed his admiration for Jiang Yang, reflecting on how Dongxincheng had transformed from its humble beginnings into the thriving place it is now, thanks to Jiang Yang’s relentless efforts.

Jiang Yang’s long-standing arm injury required surgery, but he had postponed it to focus on Dongxincun. Yin Guo questioned Lin Yiyang about his sudden decision to take over Dongxincheng. Lin Yiyang explained that their conflicting development philosophies had led to tensions. Although he had never envisioned himself managing Dongxincheng, he was compelled to step up this time out of respect for his teacher.

As Lin Yiyang saw Yin Guo off, she hesitated to leave the car, acutely aware of the challenges and reforms he would face at Dongxincheng. She knew their time together would be limited, and her heart ached at the thought of their separation.

Upon returning home, Yin Guo found her grandmother eagerly awaiting her in conversation, while Wu Qian and Meng Xiaodong were deep in discussion upstairs. Meanwhile, Lin Yiyang packed his belongings, readying himself for his return to Dongxincheng. The former elders of Dongxincheng, unfazed by Lin Yiyang’s new ideology, had gathered to welcome him and discuss the future.

To rally support for Lin Yiyang, the team called in Lin Lin, who passionately advocated on his behalf during the critical meeting. Afterward, Lin Yiyang convened a gathering with his senior brothers to unveil his ambitious reform plan. The proposals, while promising for the future, were heavily dependent on substantial funding. Organizing competitions, a key component of the plan, posed a significant risk due to potential sponsor withdrawals, necessitating a robust reserve fund to cover any unforeseen shortfalls.

As Lin Yiyang was wrapping up the discussion on these reforms, Yin Guo sent him a message inviting him home for dinner. Concerned that Lin Yiyang might misconstrue her invitation as a covert marriage proposal, she quickly followed up with a clarification. Lin Yiyang, reassured and eager for a break from the day's stress, responded without hesitation, accepting the invitation.

Lin Yiyang had to skip dinner at Yin Guo’s house on Thursday due to his World Championships commitments. Although Yin Guo had hoped to host him, she sensed that Lin Yiyang was in a rough patch and overly busy, so she decided to postpone the invitation, planning to revisit it after the competition.

During this time, Lin Yiyang called Yin Guo, and she, sensing his mood, tried to lift his spirits while packing up her things. She chatted animatedly, her familiarity with Lin Yiyang allowing her to fill the conversation effortlessly, understanding his need for distraction and support. As they spoke, Lin Yiyang found himself reflecting on his turbulent childhood, particularly the times when his teacher had to counsel him through his rebellious phases.

After exchanging goodnights, neither Lin Yiyang nor Yin Guo realized they had left the call open. They ended up staying connected through the night, their conversation seamlessly continuing into the next morning, a quiet testament to their deepening bond.

When the elders learned about Lin Yiyang's ambitious reform plan to send 30 students to study in the UK, they were skeptical. The high costs seemed extravagant, and many questioned the value of such an investment. Despite their doubts, Lin Yiyang stood firm, sharing his vision of how this initiative could transform not just his billiards society but the entire sports landscape.

Three elders, unconvinced, sought out Jiang Yang, hoping he could either persuade Lin Yiyang to reconsider or reclaim control of Dongxincheng himself. However, Jiang Yang, now recovering well and soon to be discharged from the hospital, supported Lin Yiyang’s vision. He played up the challenges Lin Yiyang faced, emphasizing the need for his bold reforms. Jiang Yang’s backing was a crucial boost for Lin Yiyang, who had hoped to bring Jiang Yang back to central city to assist but was met with a firm refusal. Jiang Yang preferred to rest and remain out of the limelight, allowing Lin Yiyang to forge ahead with his plans unimpeded.

In a stroke of good news, Jiang Yang informed Lin Yiyang that billiards would be featured at this year’s indoor sports event, a development that thrilled Lin Yiyang. This recognition hinted at the sport's potential inclusion in the Asian Games or even the Olympics in the future.

As Yin Guo arrived in Dongxincheng, her presence quickly became a point of interest among the apprentices, all eager to make a favorable impression. Lin Yiyang took her to his residence, where they spent precious time together before her departure. Yin Guo shared some encouraging news: her family’s perception of Lin Yiyang was slowly changing, and they were even looking forward to meeting him.

Lin Yiyang observed that Yin Guo's current achievements far surpassed his own early successes, and he recognized her vast potential for growth (Hint: She dropped some unexpected news to him). Determined not to impede her progress, he was content to put off starting a family and fully supported her career aspirations. Lin Yiyang's deep reflection on their future left Yin Guo a bit perplexed, but she appreciated his thoughtful consideration and embraced him warmly. Their tender moment was interrupted when Chen Anan arrived to summon Lin Yiyang for a meeting about competition details. Yin Guo's unease grew upon realizing that one of the meeting's attendees harbored a secret admiration for Lin Yiyang.

Later, Lin Yiyang carried Yin Guo back to his dorm. There, Yin Guo discovered a cherished lighter that Lin Yiyang had brought back from abroad. She held it tightly, made a silent wish, and then Lin Yiyang meticulously prepared for their visit to Yin Guo's home that evening. As they approached her front door, Yin Guo's nerves were palpable, and she continuously reassured Lin Yiyang, who masked his own anxiety with a calm facade, though his nervousness was evident.

As the sports event approached, Yin Guo’s mother was caught up with last-minute preparations at the Sports Bureau and wouldn’t be home until late. This left only Yin Guo's father and Meng Xiaodong at the house. Upon meeting Lin Yiyang, Yin Guo's father was effusive about the relationship, and the family dinner was filled with warmth and joy.

After the meal, Yin Guo took her grandmother upstairs, leaving Lin Yiyang alone with her sister, Wu Tong. To their surprise, they discovered they had crossed paths before; Lin Yiyang even remembered Wu Tong as the girlfriend of one of his friends. In the kitchen, while preparing fruit, Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo shared a sweet and intimate conversation, their connection growing stronger.

Their moment was abruptly interrupted when Wu Qian returned home and summoned them to the study. Yin Guo’s anxiety spiked—she feared her mother might put Lin Yiyang in an uncomfortable position. Determined to shield him, she made several attempts to divert the conversation. As they entered the study, Yin Guo openly expressed her feelings to Lin Yiyang, trying to preempt any potential conflict. Inside, she skillfully navigated through various topics, hoping to keep the discussion smooth and supportive.

Wu Qian had long suspected the growing bond between Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo, and she was deeply impressed by Lin Yiyang's accomplishments. Achieving such success without a strong family background was nothing short of extraordinary. With Wu Qian's approval, Lin Yiyang felt a surge of happiness and celebrated by raising a toast to her, which Wu Qian accepted with a smile.

After discussing family matters, Wu Qian shifted the conversation to the upcoming sports meeting and sought the children's input. She proposed several new billiards events, and Lin Yiyang eagerly agreed to participate, fully embracing Wu Qian's suggestions. However, seeing the overwhelming number of projects, Yin Guo grew concerned that Lin Yiyang might be overburdened or risk neglecting his main event. Stepping in to protect him, Yin Guo actively supported Lin Yiyang's interests.

Amidst the discussions, Wu Qian revealed a major piece of news: Lin Yiyang had been elected captain of the Chinese billiards team through a vote. The unexpected appointment left everyone astounded. Meng Xiaodong explained that Lin Yiyang's rise was partly due to Yin Guo's influence and his own efforts, highlighting both Lin Yiyang's and Meng Xiaodong's contributions.

To celebrate, Lin Yiyang took Yin Guo to a motorcycle shop. Yin Guo anticipated a motorcycle gift, but was astonished when Lin Yiyang revealed that he had purchased the apartment they had once shared and gifted it to her. The thoughtful present left Yin Guo overjoyed. Just as they were reveling in the moment, the motorcycle shop owner wheeled out a sleek new bike, adding an unexpected twist to their celebration.

Opinion of Amidst a Snowstorm of Love (2024)

The immense responsibility of this new role looms over him like a shadow, potentially straining his relationship with his girlfriend who yearns to be by his side. This is more than just a job—it's a monumental commitment that could dominate his life, leaving little room for anything else. I can completely understand his hesitance; it's not just the emotional toll, but the sheer magnitude of this undertaking that makes it daunting. If her mother eventually comes around and gives her blessing (a hopeful scenario), I sincerely hope she will fully support their relationship and his ambitious new path.

On a side note: He’s reeling from the loss of someone deeply significant, and yet, she’s consumed with jealousy over another woman? It’s almost unreal. As if his world wasn’t already crumbling, now he’s expected to offer reassurance on top of everything else?

It's no surprise that viewers are reeling from the revelation that they’ve actually slept together. What’s even more intriguing is that, according to the drama, they've been intimate three times, each moment subtly hinted at despite the show’s strict censorship on national TV.

The first encounter occurred the night before Yin Guo returned to China from Finland. Under the starry sky in the car, just before their conversation about the Titanic scene, Lin Yiyang's heartfelt confession gave it away: "Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for giving all of yourself to me..." The English subtitles barely scratched the surface of the emotional depth here. Additionally, Yin Guo's demeanor when discussing the Titanic scene showed a new level of comfort, signaling that the sexual tension had been resolved.

Their second encounter happened after their only argument. Yin Guo, seeking reconciliation, visited Lin Yiyang, and their passionate kiss led to a tender morning scene where she awoke snuggled up to him in his bed, both of them only partially dressed.

The third time was during their return to Finland for Yin Guo’s competition. The scene was direct and unmistakable, with Yin Guo eagerly expressing her desire for Lin Yiyang, even confessing her longing for a kiss from their plane ride.

It’s clear from the storyline that their intimate moments are more numerous than depicted, adding layers to their evolving relationship. 😊

Also, why isn’t everyone raving about Meng Xiaodong? 💕 He’s the ultimate big brother! He stepped up, putting himself in the line of fire to ensure the lead couple’s happiness. His selflessness and dedication truly paved the way for their relationship. And finally, her mother came around—what a relief!
