Love Andante- Episode 7
The Great Assistant’s Visit
Episode 7 kicks off with high tension as Na-gyeong and Gyeong-ho rush to check on Jun-mo, who fainted after learning of Ju-hui’s viral mishap. While Gyeong-ho tries to comfort a devastated Ju-hui, Na-gyeong consults the doctors, relieved to hear that Jun-mo’s condition is stabilizing. Determined to handle things carefully, she plans to return later and discuss her father’s upcoming visit with him.
In an unexpected move, Ju-hyeong steps up to help Ju-hui by releasing a heartfelt video dedicated to the newborn in the village, asking for support and well-wishes. The whole village anxiously hopes for the baby’s recovery, and their prayers are answered as the infant shows signs of improvement at the hospital, with her mother’s health on the mend as well.
As things settle for the moment, Na-gyeong receives a call from her aunt about her father's impending visit. She asks for updates but shifts her focus when she asks Ju-hyeong to make her some spicy tteokbokki, feeling touched by how he tried to help Ju-hui. After dinner, Na-gyeong heads to the office to strategize with Jun-mo, devising a plan to conceal her living situation with Ju-hyeong, even enlisting Ju-hui’s help to keep everything under wraps.
The following day, Na-gyeong’s father arrives for tense negotiations with South Korean leaders over the project’s breach of confidentiality. Just as talks seem strained, Ju-hyeong’s viral video takes over the internet, flooding the hospital with gifts and well-wishes from around the world, shifting public opinion and saving the project from collapse.
However, things take a sharp turn when Gyeong-ho accidentally lets it slip that Na-gyeong is dating someone, sparking the Great Assistant’s curiosity. Unfazed by her father’s visit, Na-gyeong takes the blame to shield Ju-hyeong, but her protective act is cut short when Ju-hyeong rushes to meet the Great Assistant, determined to take responsibility and prove his worth. Although Na-gyeong’s father doesn’t approve, he manages to keep his composure, leaving Ju-hyeong optimistic that he can eventually win him over.
As the dust begins to settle, Gyeong-ho finds himself comforting a tearful Ju-hui, who fears she’ll be kicked off the project. With emotions running high, Na-gyeong and Ju-hyeong spot the two in a moment of closeness. In a hopeful epilogue, we learn that Ju-hyeong is seeking advice from the staff on how to make the perfect impression on his girlfriend’s father—setting the stage for what could be a game-changing move in the final episodes.
DramaZen's Opinion
With just one episode left, it feels like the supporting characters’ stories are still hanging in limbo. Ju-hui and Gyeong-ho clearly have feelings for each other, yet neither has made a move. And don’t even get me started on the doctors—no progress there either. Even Na-gyeong and Ju-hyeong's relationship, while sweet, has been moving at a frustratingly slow pace.
As we near the end, the biggest questions remain unresolved. What will happen when the project concludes? Will the residents ever see each other again, or will this chapter of their lives close forever? And most importantly, will this ambitious experiment actually help pave the way to reunification between the two countries?
If the show had a full 12 episodes, the writers might have had the space to craft a more well-rounded script, giving both the side characters and the main leads the closure they deserve. But with only one episode remaining, all we can do is wait and hope they manage to tie up the loose ends. Here's hoping the finale delivers a satisfying conclusion—we’ll just have to hold our breath and see!
