We’ve finally reached the last three episodes, and the excitement is at an all-time high. Our main couple has reunited, and their relationship is stronger than ever, giving us plenty of swoon-worthy kiss scenes as they make up for all the time lost. But the intrigue doesn’t stop there, Qin Shiyue and Yu You have secretly become a couple, and I’m dying to see how they’ll reveal their romance to the others. And let’s not forget the wildcard pair, ShanShan and Guan Ji—will they finally get their act together, or are they doomed to repeat their mistakes? The anticipation is real so let's jump right in!

When Xu Yuling refused to admit to spreading rumors, Zheng Shuyi confidently pulled out her phone, armed with screenshots as proof. Xu Yuling tried to grab the phone, but failed, forcing her to leave in frustration. In the chaos of the chase, Zheng Shuyi's palm was accidentally hurt by the security door. Not one to back down easily, Xu Yuling secretly found Mrs. Qiu's phone number and called her, insinuating that Zheng Shuyi had an inappropriate relationship with her husband. However, Mrs. Qiu caught her off guard by saying she had it all wrong—Zheng Shuyi was the person she had been talking to at the banquet.

Zheng Shuyi returned to the company with her hand still bandaged but her resolve unshaken. She confronted Tang Yi, stating that while she could overlook Xu Yuling stealing her outlines and snatching interviews, spreading rumors about her personal life was crossing a line. She demanded Xu Yuling be held accountable. Tang Yi, sensing the seriousness of the situation, urged Zheng Shuyi to go home and rest, assuring her that she would bring it up with the editor and ensure Zheng Shuyi received a proper explanation.

Feeling hurt and seeking comfort, Zheng Shuyi approached Shi Yan with a pout, playfully demanding that he carry her bags and feed her due to her hand injury. Shi Yan, unable to resist her charm, agreed to her every request, his heart aching for her. He didn’t stop there—worried about her, Shi Yan decided to have Zheng Shuyi move into his home, bringing them closer than ever.

Meanwhile, at Le'an, progress on the chip research had stalled. Shi Yan urged Chen Kang to reconsider Professor Li’s suggestions, but Chen Kang, fiercely protective of Le'an, refused to hand over the project. Back at the office, Tang Yi, after conferring with the editor-in-chief, decided to transfer Xu Yuling to the education department. Displeased with the company’s decision and feeling that she deserved more recognition, Xu Yuling resigned, determined to find a place where her talents would be properly appreciated.

Shi Yan arrived to help Zheng Shuyi pack her things, whisking her away to his place. Once home, he took over the kitchen, cooking dinner just for her. When Zheng Shuyi playfully asked for food, Shi Yan didn’t hesitate—he fed her with his own hands, even tying her hair afterward. Later, as she prepared for a bath and bed, Shi Yan couldn't resist teasing her, offering his help with a mischievous grin. Flustered, Zheng Shuyi shyly dodged his playful advances, leaving the air between them charged with unspoken tension.

After her shower, Zheng Shuyi realized she still needed Shi Yan’s help. Hesitantly, she asked him to button her underwear, an intimate request that left them both blushing with embarrassment. It was their first night sharing a room, and Zheng Shuyi felt a bit nervous, but as the night wore on, her nerves melted away. She ended up curling into Shi Yan's arms as she drifted off to sleep, leaving him both amused and a little exasperated at how effortlessly she found comfort in his embrace.

Shi Yan had to cancel his business trip to take care of Zheng Shuyi, so he sent Guan Ji in his place. When Bi Ruoshan heard from Guan Ji about Zheng Shuyi’s injury, she immediately called to check on her. During their conversation, Bi Ruoshan discovered that Zheng Shuyi was already staying at Shi Yan's place, but they hadn't crossed that final line of intimacy yet. With a teasing tone, Bi Ruoshan couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and sympathy for Zheng Shuyi, who was so close yet still waiting.

Due to her hand injury, Zheng Shuyi struggled to work, so Shi Yan arranged for Qin Shiyue to assist her at home. With Qin Shiyue's help, Zheng Shuyi managed to complete her tasks, but as soon as Shi Yan returned, he wasted no time in sending Qin Shiyue away, eager to have Zheng Shuyi all to himself. Despite the gesture, Zheng Shuyi couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn’t attractive enough to Shi Yan. Determined to capture his attention, she tried using her charm, even slipping into seductive pajamas. Yet, Shi Yan remained unfazed, leaving Zheng Shuyi feeling utterly deflated.

When Shi Yan returned home that day, he accidentally stumbled upon a WeChat conversation between Zheng Shuyi and Bi Ruoshan. He was shocked to discover that Zheng Shuyi had doubts about his ability, which instantly shifted his attitude. Instead of coddling her over her hand injury, Shi Yan decided to prove her wrong by spending the night with her. The next day, Yi Yang visited the financial agency to check on Zheng Shuyi and learned about her injury, prompting him to give her a concerned call. However, when Shi Yan noticed Yi Yang’s name flashing on her screen, jealousy flared. Seizing the moment, he made it crystal clear that he and Zheng Shuyi were now living together, ensuring Yi Yang understood exactly where things stood.

Chen Kang scanned Zheng Shuyi’s financial report, his brow furrowing as he absorbed the gravity of Le'an's crisis and the strain it had placed on Yunchuang. Realizing the urgency, he resolved to seriously explore a partnership with Dark Horse. Meanwhile, Shi Yan approached Fiona with a bold proposal: a unique collaboration between Lean and Dark Horse that would prevent outright acquisition while still sharing the end results. Fiona, recognizing the complexity of such an arrangement, hesitated momentarily. However, seeing Shi Yan’s determination, she agreed to handle the intricate legalities and cooperation details, setting the stage for a high-stakes venture that could reshape their futures.

As soon as Zheng Shuyi stepped through the door, her anxiety about the new article's potential fallout was palpable. Determined to mitigate any issues for Shi Yan, she showered him with courtesy and concern. Sensing her unease, Shi Yan reassured her with a calm demeanor, emphasizing that Zheng Shuyi's article was simply a factual and honest portrayal. Far from being a liability, it could spark fresh perspectives and new opportunities for Yunchuang. His words, a blend of reassurance and optimism, ignited a glimmer of hope that their bold move might just be the catalyst for a transformative change.

Shi Yan, determined to avert a potential crisis, sought out Yi Yang after obtaining his contact information from Zheng Shuyi. In their meeting, Shi Yan made a compelling case for reconsidering the acquisition of Le'an, arguing that a mere merger wouldn’t serve either Le'an or Dark Horse’s long-term goals. He painted a vivid picture of a future where both companies leverage their unique strengths to forge a groundbreaking path forward. Shi Yan proposed a collaborative research and development venture, one that would allow them to tackle complex technical challenges together, sharing both the accolades and advancements. This approach, he suggested, would enable them to iteratively upgrade technology and, while cooperating for a win-win outcome now, leave room for each company to excel independently in the future.

Zheng Shuyi was stunned when she saw public photos of her idol, Song Lelan, embracing Qin Xiaoming. Her shock intensified when she learned that Qin Shiyue had been involved in a car accident and rushed to the hospital to check on him. To her relief, Qin Shiyue's injuries were minor, just some superficial scrapes. But her concern quickly shifted back to the entertainment scandal when she shared the news with Shi Yan, lamenting that her idol seemed to be involved with her boyfriend's brother-in-law.

Her jaw dropped further when Song Lelan herself walked into the hospital room. In a twist of fate, Zheng Shuyi discovered that Song Lelan was actually Shi Yan's sister, Shi Huaiman, adding a whole new layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama.

When Qin Shiyue caught sight of the headlines, she felt a pang of guilt for inadvertently exposing her mother Song Lelan’s secretive marital status. Yet, for Song Lelan, her priority remained her family—her husband and daughter above all else. The driver responsible for the accident soon arrived at the hospital, nervously apologizing. Qin Shiyue, seething with indignation, demanded that he own up to his reckless behavior—answering the phone while driving had clearly been a breach of the law.

Meanwhile, Yu You rushed to the hospital, deeply concerned for Qin Shiyue’s well-being. To Qin Xiaoming and Song Lelan, Yu You appeared merely as their daughter's dedicated teacher. They were pleasantly surprised by the depth of his concern, interpreting his visit as a testament to their daughter's commitment to learning.

Zheng Shuyi, filled with remorse, approached Song Lelan to apologize for her previous complaints. To her relief, Song Lelan harbored no ill will. However, the moment Song Lelan left, Zheng Shuyi's frustration turned towards Shi Yan. She erupted in anger, accusing him of hiding his family ties with Song Lelan. Furious and determined to cool off, Zheng Shuyi stormed off, only to realize she had forgotten her house key.

With no other option, she headed to her friend Bi Ruoshan's place—only to be shocked to find Guan Ji already living there. Stuck with no alternatives, Zheng Shuyi grudgingly accepted Shi Yan’s offer to return to his home, her irritation simmering as she faced the unintended consequence of her own decisions.

In an attempt to win Zheng Shuyi's forgiveness, Shi Yan prepared a sumptuous meal just for her. The allure of his delicious cooking was enough to sway Zheng Shuyi into reconsidering her anger. Yet, the tension remained as Shi Yan stubbornly denied concealing his sister Song Lelan’s identity, shifting the blame to Zheng Shuyi for not greeting her.

Frustrated by Shi Yan’s refusal to acknowledge his part in the deception, Zheng Shuyi locked him out of the bedroom. Meanwhile, as Bi Ruoshan wrapped up her investigation into Song Lelan’s true identity, she caught sight of Shi Yan slipping back into the bedroom with a key. Determined to mend things, Shi Yan sought to soothe Zheng Shuyi's hurt with a passionate kiss, melting her anger and bringing a tentative peace between them.

Guan Ji and Bi Ruoshan made their way to the hospital to visit Qin Shiyue, sparking a whirlwind of emotions. Seeing the couple's evident affection, Qin Shiyue couldn't help but grumble about the "good cabbage" being "eaten by a pig."

Back at work, Zheng Shuyi was met with a buzz of excitement as everyone discussed the latest scandal: Qin Shiyue’s surprising revelation as Song Lelan’s daughter. Tang Yi seized the moment, instructing Zheng Shuyi to spearhead the formation of an integrated media team. Fired up and brimming with confidence, Zheng Shuyi eagerly embraced the challenge, determined to captivate readers around the globe with a groundbreaking media strategy.

Yi Yang made a bold move by choosing to partner Dark Horse with Le'an, and to mark this pivotal moment, he extended a special invitation to Zheng Shuyi for an exclusive interview. As Zheng Shuyi commended Yi Yang for his audacious spirit and commitment to innovation, she highlighted the exceptional nature of his decision. Despite the praise, Zheng Shuyi felt she wasn’t the ideal fit for this high-stakes interview. With a persuasive touch, she convinced Yi Yang to consider other colleagues for the piece, ensuring that the story would be told from multiple compelling perspectives.

Zheng Shuyi’s mother remained unconvinced that Shi Yan was truly her daughter’s boyfriend, dismissing their relationship as mere pretense. During one of Zheng Shuyi’s bath times, her mother’s call interrupted, and Shi Yan stepped in to answer. When Zheng Shuyi emerged from her bath, she was stunned to learn that her mother had indeed become aware of Shi Yan’s presence. In a bid to prove the authenticity of their relationship, Zheng Shuyi promised her mother that if she wasn’t swamped with work on May Day, she would return home with Shi Yan.

Shi Yan brought Zheng Shuyi to meet his parents, and with a serious but warm introduction, presented her to his father and sister, Song Lelan. Both were instantly charmed by Zheng Shuyi. To make a special impression, Zheng Shuyi decided to cook for Shi Yan, only to be surprised when Shuyi's mother showed up at the dinner table. Confused by their unexpected meeting, Zheng Shuyi learned that Shi Yan and her mother had crossed paths at the airport and recognized each other from photos. After a pleasant meal, Zheng Shuyi’s mother left content, reassured by Shi Yan’s affection for her daughter. It wasn’t until after her mother’s departure that Zheng Shuyi discovered the real reason for the visit: her mother was en route to Southeast Asia and had merely stopped over in Qing’an to see her, making Zheng Shuyi both amused and exasperated.

Directors Tian and Zhang were fuming over Shi Yan's pivotal role in brokering the partnership between Le'an and Dark Horse, especially since it meant Dark Horse would benefit from Le'an's cutting-edge research. Their frustration boiled over as they cornered Shi Yan, demanding he resolve the contentious issue immediately. On top of that, they insisted that Qin Xiaoming step in to oversee the management of Yunchuang, intensifying the pressure on Shi Yan to navigate this high-stakes corporate turmoil.

With Yunchuang under intense scrutiny and media frenzy swirling around the Le'an and Dark Horse collaboration, reporters were eager for Shi Yan's take on the high-stakes partnership. However, Shi Yan rebuffed all media requests, opting for silence. Determined to uncover the truth, Zheng Shuyi reached out to Chen Sheng for insight. Chen Sheng revealed that Shi Yan had deliberately avoided the spotlight to protect the delicate balance of the cooperation, ensuring that neither company would be unduly pressured or jeopardized during this critical phase.

As media frenzy swirled around Shi Yan, Zheng Shuyi resisted stepping into the limelight, though she was deeply concerned for him. When Shi Yan finally came home, she enveloped him in warm comfort, urging him to speak out to the press. She believed that public statements carried power and that readers deserved to hear their side of the story. Shi Yan, though appreciative of her support, explained that his silence wasn't a refusal but a strategic choice. He wanted to avoid further controversy while focusing on a breakthrough in chip technology that would ultimately vindicate their decision and silence the critics.

As media coverage on Yunchuang intensified, Tang Yi pushed for a financial agency representative to address the growing buzz. Seizing the opportunity, Zheng Shuyi stepped up to manage the situation, diving headfirst into interviews with key figures like Yi Yang and Chen Kang. Her incisive reporting shed light on the complex Le'an-Dark Horse collaboration, revealing Shi Yan's strategic choices to the public.

The clarity from Zheng Shuyi’s interview not only helped the public grasp Shi Yan’s decisions but also earned Shi Yan’s gratitude. Impressed by her efforts, he agreed to an exclusive interview with her. Moreover, Zheng Shuyi’s impactful report swayed Directors Tian and Zhang, leading them to reconsider Shi Yan’s leadership role and ultimately support his continued stewardship of Yunchuang.

As the integrated media project gained momentum, Tang Yi entrusted Zheng Shuyi with its development. Eager to prove herself, Zheng Shuyi meticulously prepared her work report, confident that her dedication and vision would secure her the role of team leader. However, to her shock, the editor-in-chief deemed her too young for the promotion and chose not to advance her. Zheng Shuyi's heart sank as her ambitious plans for leadership were dashed, leaving her grappling with a deep sense of disappointment.

Shi Yan arrived to pick up Zheng Shuyi from work, his heart aching at the sight of her dejected face after the team leader position slipped through her fingers. Without hesitation, he pulled her into a tender kiss, his warmth and affection sparking a renewed fire within her. As the seasons shifted from autumn to winter, Qing'an welcomed the first snowfall with a magical touch. Zheng Shuyi, enchanted by the delicate snowflakes, clung to the belief that those who come together under the first snow are destined to stay united for life.

Qin Shiyue's heart raced with triumph as she celebrated her acceptance into the financial agency. Eager to share the news, she rushed to tell Yu You, only to be taken aback when she stumbled upon her uncle and Guan Ji in the midst of their conversation. Shi Yan, witnessing the tender display of affection between Qin Shiyue and Yu You, couldn't resist teasing Yu You about calling him "little uncle" for the first time. The playful banter and newfound dynamics added an unexpected twist to the joyous occasion.

Lean Technology and Dark Horse Technology have made groundbreaking strides in millimeter wave chips, marking Yunchuang’s investment as a resounding triumph. A year later, Zheng Shuyi stood proudly as she received the prestigious 10th Financial Journalism Award, with Shi Yan by her side, sharing in the moment of celebration. At the 7th Anniversary Appreciation Banquet for Le’an Technology, Chen Kang expressed deep gratitude to Shi Yan for his crucial support during Le’an’s toughest times. Shi Yan, elated by Le’an’s remarkable progress, eagerly anticipated the future innovations that Chen Kang and his team would drive, paving the way for the creation of their own cutting-edge chips.

After the heartfelt thank you banquet, Shi Yan surprised Zheng Shuyi with an engagement ring, his eyes shining with hope. With a mix of excitement and joy, Zheng Shuyi accepted his proposal, sealing their future together with a tender embrace. Meanwhile, Tang Yi was busy preparing for her wedding with Guan Xiangcheng. To Zheng Shuyi’s astonishment, she discovered for the first time that Tang Yi and Guan Xiangcheng were not just colleagues but a couple. Overjoyed, Zheng Shuyi eagerly agreed to be Tang Yi's bridesmaid, celebrating both love and friendship as they embarked on their new journeys.

At the lavish wedding of Guan Xiangcheng and Tang Yi, the guests buzzed with excitement, discussing the latest relationship drama and romantic entanglements. Curiosity peaked around Shi Yan, Guan Ji, and Yu You's upcoming nuptials. Amid the revelry, Guan Xiangcheng playfully proposed a grand idea: a combined wedding for all three couples. Enthusiastically, Shi Yan, Guan Ji, and Yu You embraced the suggestion, their eyes gleaming with anticipation. Despite their assurances of focusing on their careers before diving into marriage, each bride held dreams of a dazzling future, filled with romance and possibility.

Opinion of Only For Love (2023)

It’s over, and honestly, I don’t think it was as bad as everyone made it out to be. Maybe that’s just me, but I’ve learned not to take logic too seriously in Dramaland—sometimes you just have to toss it out the window to truly enjoy the ride!

No, it’s not epic, but it’s a cute, lighthearted, fluffy romance—the kind of feel-good story that’s perfect when you don’t want anything too heavy (and trust me, with my anxiety, I need that kind of escape sometimes). And for what it is, it does the job well.

I know not everyone agrees, but I actually think the cast did a great job. The main couple had their share of adorable scenes, some decent chemistry, and plenty of skinship. They’re not my all-time favorite ship, but they were definitely enjoyable to watch.

I also have a soft spot for the niece's character: she starts off as this annoying, spoiled brat, but then grows into someone mature and decisive. That character arc was pretty satisfying.

Now, is it the C-drama of the year? No, definitely not. It’s repetitive at times, and some parts drag on far too long—especially the main couple’s late-in-the-game fight, which overstayed its welcome by at least 10 episodes.

Overall, I’d give it more of a 6.5, but I’ll bump it up to a 7 because, well, it’s my guilty pleasure. For me, it fulfilled the main purpose of a drama: to provide a good time, and that’s enough.
