Welcome back, When the Stars Gossip fans! Episodes 11 and 12 turned up the heat—both in romance and drama. We got secret affairs, jealous exes, career-threatening scandals, and a pet turtle randomly thrown into the mix. Let’s break down all the chaos!

Grounded

Eve and Ryong Try (and Fail) to Move On

Eve is back home and, surprise surprise, she can’t stop thinking about Ryong. While dealing with the mystery of her unknown biological parents (we’re totally getting a future plot twist about this, right?), she also finds herself grappling with her feelings for our favorite space doctor. Meanwhile, Ryong is dealing with his nosy, hilarious moms, who have way too many opinions about his love life.

Elsewhere, Mina and Seung-jun have a very awkward check-up with Ryong, where they casually mention that the IOU is about to search the space shuttle. Why is this a problem? Oh, just the small issue of Ryong’s phone still being up there—which may or may not contain classified information. He’s definitely sweating over this one.

Love Lives Exploding Left and Right

Speaking of problems, Eve completely shuts down Dong-a’s desperate proposal and breaks up with him. This man immediately drops the nice-guy act and gaslights her, saying she’s lying about her feelings for Ryong (as if we all didn’t already know). Their breakup? Messy.

Meanwhile, Go-eun is still heartbroken over Ryong, so Kang-su (always lurking) swoops in to shoot his shot. After taking her to a temple (because nothing says romance like existential dread), he declares he wants to fill the void in her life. Bold move.

MCC’s Gossip Mill is Working Overtime

Back at MCC, the real drama begins. Tae-hui and the team review the footage from space and, uh-oh, the expressions on Eve and Ryong’s faces are not subtle. One worker, Eun-soo, boldly states what everyone is thinking: they totally had sex in space.

Now, Tae-hui doesn’t directly call them out but instead demands a minute-by-minute report of their time alone. Eve and Ryong, both terrible liars, immediately start bickering in public, making it even more obvious.

Meanwhile, Ryong’s moms are having the time of their lives spending the mystery checks they received (are we surprised? No).

A Dinner Party Turned Disaster

Things take a turn at a celebratory meal, where Kang-su sort of earns some respect from Ryong. But just when things seem too peaceful, drunk Dong-a decides to start chaos by exposing Eve and Ryong’s hidden feelings in front of everyone. Ryong doesn’t even deny it and instead poetically declares that Eve saved his life like a sexy Wonder Woman(his words, not mine).

Dong-a’s response? Punching Ryong in the mouth.

Of course, Ryong being Ryong, takes the fall to protect Eve, saying she never made a move on him (even though we all saw those sparks flying in space).

Eve’s Confession… and a Very Inconvenient Turtle

That night, Eve finally gives in to her feelings and shows up at Ryong’s place. She lays it all out, admitting she’s been falling for him hard since their time in space. The two share a long-awaited kiss and…

Ding dong!

Go-eun arrives… with a pet turtle in a glass cage. (Because why not add a completely random animal to this love triangle?)

Under The Umbrella

The Lottery Gang is Down Bad

After losing their golden ticket, the lottery gang is in shambles. Santi believes they’re being punished for their greed(dramatic much?), while Seung-jun and Mina hover outside Kang-su’s hotel, contemplating begging for a cut.

Instead of confronting Kang-su, they hook up instead. (Honestly, love that for them.)

Go-eun Challenges Eve to a Drinking Duel

Meanwhile, Go-eun enters Ryong’s apartment, immediately spotting Eve’s shoes and bag. She puts two and two together and, instead of flipping out, challenges Eve to a drinking contest. (K-Drama logic at its finest.)

Rules? The one who holds their liquor wins Ryong.

They both get obliterated and end up crashing in Ryong’s bed, leaving him to sleep on the couch like a third-wheel in his own love story.

Kang-su is Out for Revenge

The next morning, Mina and Seung-jun beg Kang-su for forgiveness, but he’s already cashing in his winnings. He also realizes Ryong had the ticket all along and is furious. Meanwhile, Jae-ryong is plotting Ryong’s downfall after Kang-su tells him that he’s over Go-eun and has feelings for someone else.

Go-eun finally stands up for Ryong, throwing Kang-su under the bus. Jae-ryong responds by kicking Kang-su out, which immediately leads to Kang-su breaking Ryong’s car mirror and vowing revenge. (Very mature.)

Eve and Ryong Go Secret Mode

Despite everyone telling them to stay apart, Eve and Ryong secretly agree to keep seeing each other. They reflect on their time in space, with Eve admitting that for the first time, she didn’t feel alone.

But, of course, the happiness is short-lived.

Tae-hui Uncovers the Truth

Tae-hui, who’s been low-key obsessed with finding dirt, pieces everything together. While watching footage, she spots the incubator in the background—proof that embryos were onboard the station.

Realizing there are unaccounted-for embryos, Tae-hui calls both Ryong and Kang-su in for questioning. When they show up, she drops the bombshell:

"You two were working together, weren’t you?"

And just like that, the scandal blows wide open.

I NEED A BREATHER! ✨

Are you kidding me?! These episodes were a chaotic masterpiece.

• Eve finally confessing? Swoon.
• Go-eun’s drinking duel? Peak K-drama energy.
• Dong-a’s villain arc? Saw it coming.
• Kang-su’s revenge? Terrifying but also kinda deserved.
• Tae-hui being a detective? Messy but entertaining.

Eve and Ryong are literally the definition of star-crossed lovers, and I need them to stop hiding and just be together already. But now that Tae-hui has evidence of the embryo scandal, things are about to get seriously messy.

Final thoughts? This show is ruining my life, and I love it. 🚀💖🔥
