Memory, Murder, and a Marriage Proposal?!

Hey Buried Hearts fans! ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ”ฅ Episode 11 dropped like a bomb and honestly, we’re still collecting our jaws from the floor. We’ve got abusive uncles, long-lost childhoods, shocking hypnosis reveals, and… a wedding proposal?!There’s no such thing as chill in this drama—and we’re living for every second. Let’s unpack this rollercoaster of an episode!

๐Ÿ’ฅ Jang-seon vs Hui-cheol: Rage Mode Activated

We open with Jang-seon in full-blown rage, lashing out at Hui-cheol for asking Eun-nam for a divorce. But Hui-cheol hits back with a gut-punch of a confession—he used Jang-seon’s power as a kid to get Dong-ju kicked off the rugby team.

Well, that just further fuels the fire, and Jang-seon proceeds to beat Hui-cheol. (This man seriously needs therapy… or a prison cell.)

๐Ÿ“ธ The Photo That Broke Everything

Meanwhile, Dong-ju shows Eun-nam the now-infamous photo—both the physical copy from Madame Pi and the digital one he got from Il-do’s phone.

Eun-nam immediately recognizes the man holding the child as her father. Dong-ju? Shook. He says he doesn’t know who the child is (but let’s be real… we all know he does).

Flashback time! Dong-ju realizes Eun-nam blackmailed Jang-seon to protect him when he was in the hospital. (We love a loyal queen.)

๐Ÿ  Divorce Drama & Family Secrets

Back at home, Eun-nam officially requests her divorce, saying she’ll even return her Daesan shares to make it happen. Chairman Cha is shocked, Deok-hui fuming, and honestly, icon behavior from Eun-nam.

Meanwhile, Dong-ju confronts Secretary Gong, who confirms the child in the photo is Seong-hyeon—aka Dong-ju himself. He makes her promise to keep it secret. She gives him a children’s book that Sun-ho wanted Seong-hyeon to have. Inside it? A postcard from Sun-ho with a drawing of young Seong-hyeon. ๐Ÿ˜ข

But when Gong suggests he let Eun-nam go, Dong-ju snaps. He’s not letting go—he wants the truth about his father, but he’s holding back… for Eun-nam’s sake.

๐Ÿš‚ A Boy on the Tracks & The Truth Behind the Accident

Dong-ju asks Madame Pi about how he was found. She tells him he appeared one day, following the train tracks, asking for food. His presence shocked You-jin out of a suicide attempt, and just like that, he became part of the family. (Excuse us while we sob.)

But still, no record of the accident that killed Sun-ho… until Tae-geum and Won-bae get involved. They find an article revealing that Il-do was at the scene and the only survivor. Suspicious much?

๐Ÿ’ผ Family Politics & A Shocking Proposal

Il-do gets summoned to Jang-seon’s house and is stunned to see Ji Yeong-su sitting with him. Jang-seon’s clearly pulling strings—but Dong-ju has a counter-plan.

He calls Guk-hui to the secret vault and reveals he knows she’s been stealing. But don’t worry—he’s got an offer…

Cue a dramatic family meeting at the Cha mansion. Chairman Cha drops the mic:

๐Ÿ‘ถ Seon-u is his son.
๐Ÿ’ He’s marrying Ji Yeong-su.
๐Ÿข Seon-u will be brought into the family and trained by… Dong-ju.

Eun-nam agrees if she gets her shares back. Everyone’s jaw drops when Il-do and Guk-hui don’t object.

Later, Dong-ju visits Jang-seon, who casually tells him to take money and leave the country. Dong-ju’s answer?
๐Ÿ‘‰ “I’ll leave… when you’re dead.

(Mic. Drop.)

๐Ÿ’ก A Memory Comes Back—And It’s DEVASTATING

Dong-ju, still haunted, meets with Dr. Kang I-hyeon and asks to go under hypnosis again.

This time, she suggests viewing the memory from the child’s perspective. And what follows is heart-shattering:

๐Ÿš˜ Dong-ju sees Sun-ho driving.
๐Ÿš› Il-do is following behind.
๐Ÿšš A truck crashes into Sun-ho’s car.
โ›ฐ๏ธ The car teeters on the edge of a cliff.
๐Ÿ“œ The truck driver hands Il-do a piece of paper revealing that Seong-hyeon and Sun-ho are related.
๐Ÿ˜ฑ Il-do, hearing Seong-hyeon screaming, gets back in his car… AND RAMS THE OTHER CAR OFF THE ROAD.

๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿงจ

It’s a murder. It was always a murder.

And in a chilling echo, we see Il-do telling Kang Seong his twisted, edited version of events, blaming the truck and lying through his teeth.

Shattered Truths, A Loaded Gun, and One Killer Twist

Hey Buried Hearts fans! ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ’ฅ Episode 12 had everything — a murder confession in slow motion, memory-hijacking hypnosis, last-minute weddings, and one deeply twisted father-son showdown that left us absolutely speechless. If you thought this show couldn’t possibly pack more secrets into a single hour, think again. Let’s dive into the madness!

๐Ÿ’” The Crash, the Flower, and a Blood-Soaked Past

We begin with a flashback to the car crash that killed Sun-ho and Gyeong-won—and yes, it’s just as harrowing as we imagined.

Il-do stumbles out of the wreckage, bruised but alive. Then—plot twist—the mysterious man who handed him the DNA test just before the crash? It was the Administrator. (Because of course it was.)

๐Ÿง  Hypnosis, Hidden Videos & Denial

Back in the present, Dong-ju is under hypnosis with Dr. Kang I-hyeon, reliving the crash in excruciating detail. He remembers everything—including the moment Il-do drove them off the road.

But when Kang Seong stumbles upon the session video on I-hyeon’s laptop, she brushes it off as some kind of “misunderstanding.” (Sis, are we watching the same footage?!)

โ˜• A Father’s Warning & A Flower from the Past

Back home, Il-do wakes from a dream of young Seong-hyeon morphing into present-day Dong-ju—only to find Dong-ju actually sitting there, like a ghost from the past.

Dong-ju drops the newspaper article about the crash, and calmly reveals his identity:
๐Ÿ‘‰ “I’m Seong-hyeon.”
๐Ÿ‘‰ “You can leave Daesan with Deok-hui and Tae-yun… or die.”

Il-do is shook. Flashbacks reveal that he once gave Gyeong-won a flower hair tie, the same one Seong-hyeon wore… and the same one Dong-ju now holds in his hand.

Panic mode: activated. He calls Jang-seon and says the quiet part out loud:
๐Ÿ“ž “I need a gun.”

๐Ÿงฉ Misdirection & Dandelion Secrets

To protect Eun-nam, Dong-ju gives her the article to “prove” that Il-do didn’t kill her father. (A lie to protect her from the truth? Classic tragic romance move. ๐Ÿ˜ญ)

Meanwhile, Won-bae keeps poking at Yang-chun and the Administrator for clues about the legendary Dandelion files. Yang-chun hints that one of the Administrator’s buildings might hide the treasure trove.

๐Ÿ‘‚ Overheard Confessions & New Clues

Surprise twist: Tae-yun hears everything Dong-ju said to Il-do. ๐Ÿซข

Eun-nam, still trying to understand her past, shows Deok-hui the photo Dong-ju gave her… and gets yelled at. (As usual.) She then heads to Kang Seong for the truth.

He clears it up:
๐Ÿง Sun-ho, Gyeong-won, and the others were student activists, not lovers.
๐Ÿ‘ถ The child wasn’t Sun-ho’s.
๐Ÿ“ธ He gave the photo to Seong-hyeon himself.

(Which means Dong-ju’s connection to Sun-ho? Still a giant question mark.)

๐Ÿงจ Plotting the Kill

Elsewhere, Il-do meets Jang-seon and spills everything. Jang-seon, being predictably evil, is on board:
๐Ÿ’ฌ “Yes. We need to kill Dong-ju.”

(Like that’s gone well for them so far ๐Ÿ™„)

๐Ÿงญ A Map, a Murder, and the Files

Dong-ju and Won-bae take Yang-chun to the Administrator’s building. He leads them to two giant safes. Drumroll…

๐Ÿšช They’re empty.

But the plot thickens! Gu-ho and his team find the Administrator bleeding out. In a last-minute stroke of genius, Dong-ju finds a hand-drawn map hidden inside one of the Administrator’s books.

๐Ÿ’พ It leads them to the real Dandelion files, and Tae-geum starts decoding them like the hacker queen she is.

๐Ÿ’ A Wedding & A Memory Lapse

It’s wedding day for Ji Yeong-su and Chairman Cha, but of course, the chairman gets hit with a dementia spiral mid-celebration.

And somehow, Jang-seon manipulates him into going through with it. Ugh.

Later, Secretary Gong drops a bombshell on Deok-hui:
๐Ÿ‘€ “Seong-hyeon is still alive.”

(Dun-dun-DUN.)

๐Ÿ”ฌ DNA Results & The Final Phone Call

Dong-ju comes home to a mysterious package with a DNA test

๐Ÿ’ฅ It confirms that he and Il-do are related.
๐Ÿ’ฅ And then, Tae-geum sends a transcript of Jang-seon’s recorded conversation—where it’s said plain and clear:
Dong-ju is Il-do’s son. Not Sun-ho’s.

And just like that, Il-do calls Dong-ju.
๐Ÿ“ž “Let’s meet. I’ll plead my case.”

(Yeah. Sure.)

๐ŸŽฏ The Final Shot

Night falls. The meeting begins. Dong-ju approaches. Il-do pulls out the gun.

๐Ÿ’ฅ BANG.

Dong-ju is shot.

But then—Jang-seon calls. Too little, too late.
๐Ÿ“ž “Dong-ju is your son.”

๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Dong-ju, bleeding, sits up. Laughs.

๐Ÿ‘‰ “Come on. Kill your son.”

END OF EPISODE.

Opinion of Buried Hearts (2025)

Backstories, Bullets, and Brutal Truths ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Episodes 11 and 12 were absolutely wild. We finally got the full truth behind the crash, the confirmation that Dong-ju is Il-do’s son, and that gut-wrenching hypnosis scene that had me screaming at my screen.

Il-do just keeps digging himself deeper—driving a car off a cliff AND shooting his own son?! Meanwhile, Dong-ju playing mind games, piecing together his past, and laughing after being shot?? ICONIC. He's been through hell and is still standing (and scheming).

Also, justice for Eun-nam, who’s caught in the emotional crossfire but still trying to do right by everyone. And don’t get me started on that flower hair tie reveal—my heart. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

These episodes hit hard, and the slow-burn revenge is hitting just right.
