Gu Yi’s Emotional Depth

Gu Yi has truly evolved as a character. Watching her navigate the loss of her mother was absolutely devastating yet inspiring. Her pain was so raw and relatable—when she held her mother’s ashes and broke down, I was sobbing right along with her. But the way she managed to honor her mother’s memory by releasing her ashes into the sea? Absolutely beautiful.

And her dedication to Liang Daiwen, even through her own grief, is chef’s kiss. She’s a fighter, whether it’s for her family, love, or even herself.

Liang Daiwen’s Growth

Liang Daiwen has come such a long way emotionally. Seeing him confront his father about the past was so cathartic! That moment when he finally called him “Dad” had me melting.
