This week’s episode of Sorry Not Sorry was full of rumors, revelations, and a whole lot of girl power. Song-yi finally stood up for herself (albeit in her own hilariously tame way), Eun-gyu’s past started catching up with her, and Chan-yang suddenly decided maybe motherhood is for her?! With all this happening, the slow-burn tension between Song-yi and Hyun-woo continues to simmer—because of course, it does. Let’s dive in!

It’s another day, another misunderstanding for Song-yi! This time, after Eun-gyu drops JG off at kindergarten, the gaggle of moms assume JG has two moms—and naturally, they take their newfound gossip and run with it. Before Song-yi can blink, the entire neighborhood is whispering about her (again), and even Yi-ahn believes the rumors! (Facepalm.)

Bless his heart, Yi-ahn gives Song-yi a heartfelt speech about how she should have been honest with him and that she didn’t have to call Eun-gyu her “sister” but could’ve told him she was her special person. (Shakes head in hands. Sweetie, no.) Song-yi is completely confused until Hana calls her, and soon enough, our trio is gathered at Hyun-woo’s office, where Song-yi now works part-time, for a full-blown damage control session.

Hana and Chan-yang are outraged that the gaggle moms have spread another ridiculous rumor, while Hyun-woo—forever the practical one—can’t understand why his office is being used for gossip strategy meetings. (Honestly, sir, just accept your fate at this point.)

When Song-yi explains she let people assume she was JG’s mom because she didn’t want him to feel alone, Hyun-woo gently suggests that maybe she should talk to JG directly. (He cares about her so much, I can’t take it!)

Since the gaggle moms’ rumor-mongering is now hurting business (they’ve boycotted Yi-ahn’s café and Chan-yang’s pottery class), Song-yi realizes she needs to clear the air. And she’s not going in unarmed! With the help of Hana and Chan-yang, she picks the perfect power outfit and even borrows one of Eun-gyu’s expensive handbags. This is war!

Before heading into battle, Song-yi bumps into Hyun-woo outside Yi-ahn’s café, completely missing the hilariously obvious peacocking between the two men over her. (I see you, Hyun-woo, pretending you’re unbothered.) He’s a little speechless at her makeover, but instead of complimenting her, he tells her he prefers her natural look. (Translation: “I like you just the way you are, but I’m too emotionally constipated to say it outright.”)

At the much-anticipated confrontation, Song-yi finally puts the gaggle moms in their place! She lays everything out—the café isn’t hers, she’s divorced, and she’s just helping her sister raise JG. And then, in the most Song-yi way possible, she delivers her grand insult: “You guys should get a life. You’re terrible ladies.” (Hana’s and my reactions were identical: Absolute shock that this was her version of a takedown.)

The best part? JG himself had already come to his own conclusion—he’s got friends, an aunt, and grandparents. He’s notalone. (Such a mature kid! I love him!)

While Song-yi is dealing with drama, Eun-gyu is struggling with a secret of her own. She’s reconnecting with an ex-boyfriend from the States—someone who could be JG’s father. And while Song-yi doesn’t pressure her, we all know something big is coming.

Meanwhile, Chan-yang randomly drops the bombshell that she might want a baby. (Say what now?!) After witnessing the sweet moment between Song-yi and JG, she suddenly gets the idea that she wants to experience the same kind of joy. Hana (rightfully) questions if boredom is a solid reason to have a child. (Answer: It is not.)

Chan-yang asks if marriage changes after having kids, and Hana admits it does—it shifts from a “dating era” to “camaraderie.” (I love how honest Hana is!) But despite her impulsive nature, Chan-yang talks to Jin-ho, who, in true Jin-ho fashion, is down for whatever makes her happy.

At the OB clinic, the chaos continues as Chan-yang sits between her husband and his ex-girlfriend (aka Song-yi), completely unbothered and loving every second. (I laughed so hard at this scene!) Jin-ho is on board for prenatal testing, but in a surprising twist, Song-yi also asks about freezing her eggs. She’s not ready to give up on having children just yet.

Later, Song-yi brings up the topic with Hyun-woo at work, asking why people want kids and if he wants them. His answer? He’s fine with whatever his partner wants—whether that’s having kids or being a DINK couple. (Sir, why are you being so unintentionally romantic?!)

And then, the real moment: Song-yi directly asks Hyun-woo if he’ll ever remarry. His response? “No, I’m done with marriage.” (Cue: My heart sinking.)

But Song-yi doesn’t let it go—she follows up with “What about dating?” And that question flusters him. (HA! GOTCHA!)

The episode ends with Hyun-woo saving Song-yi from falling folders at work, and the lingering tension in the air is palpable. Hyun-woo may be done with marriage, but I think he’s about to rethink dating real soon!

OMG, THE TENSION!

This episode had me screaming! First of all, Hyun-woo needs to stop pretending he’s not catching feelings—we all see it, sir! The way he looks at Song-yi, the way he actually listens to her, and now he’s all flustered at the thought of dating? Oh, it’s happening.

Also, Yi-ahn… sweetie, I love you, but no. His whole “special person” speech had me dying of secondhand embarrassment. (Someone please tell him to stop talking!)

The gaggle moms were so out of pocket this week, but at least Song-yi finally stood up for herself (even if her insult game needs some work 😂). And can we talk about Chan-yang casually deciding she wants a baby like it’s a new hobby?! I love her chaotic energy.

But my favorite moment? Song-yi making Hyun-woo question his life choices. She’s coming for his heart whether he’s ready or not!

Bring on Episode 10—I NEED that romance to start kicking in! 💕🔥
