Strong Hearts: The Legacy of Do Sisters- By: Tina Marie
Chapter 26 - War Council
Three hours later, the Resistance regrouped in an abandoned subway maintenance station—now their unofficial war room. Maps covered the walls. Strings and pins marked every Blue Star site still active.
Seul sat with a blanket around her shoulders, a hot drink in her hands, and a thousand-yard stare in her eyes. Rae hadn’t left her side.
Ji Woo was at the center table, projecting new data.
“Blue Star’s lost its central core,” she explained, “but Mi Na always plans redundancies. She’s got backup labs, sleeper agents, and a contingency plan labeled ‘Phase Omega.’”
Rin leaned in. “What’s Phase Omega?”
Ji Woo tapped a screen. A hologram of a satellite grid flickered on.
“A weather-modified orbital device. Experimental. Meant to disperse a global serum release. Skyborn distribution, tied to atmospheric pressure points.”
Bong Soon crossed her arms. “She’s not enhancing volunteers anymore. She’s taking away choice.”
Everyone went quiet.
Min Hyeok, reading a tablet, looked up. “The satellite is scheduled for launch in 72 hours. From a private aerospace platform off Jeju Island.”
Rae looked at Rin. “We go there. We stop the launch. Period.”
Seul finally spoke, her voice small but firm. “You’ll need a pilot.”
Everyone turned.
Seul stood, shakily but with purpose. “Before I was Aegis, I trained in Blue Star’s aerospace wing. I know the launch protocols. I know their override codes.”
Rae stood with her. “Then we hit Jeju next.”
Ji Woo nodded slowly. “We’ll need a plan, and we’ll need to move fast. Once Mi Na sees we’re still alive, she’ll double her defenses.”
Rin’s eyes burned with resolve. “Let her. We’re not running anymore.”
Bong Soon placed a hand on both her daughters’ shoulders.
“You were born strong. Now the world will see what that really means.”
