The wind ripped across the tarmac as the transport touched down on Jeju Island. Storm clouds loomed low over the private aerospace facility, a steel fortress embedded into the cliffside.

Rin looked out the window, eyes locked on the tower rising into the clouds. “That’s the launch bay?”

Ji Woo nodded. “Twelve-hour prep cycle. We get in, sabotage the payload, and make it out before they hit the ignition sequence.”

Rae cracked her knuckles. “Then we make noise on the way in and ghosts on the way out.”

Seul adjusted her earpiece, voice steady. “The launch system has biometric safeguards. Once I’m inside the control room, I can lock the rocket in place.”

Min Hyeok handed out suits—armor-light but reinforced. “No comms to base. Mi Na will jam signals the moment you breach. You’re on your own in there.”

Bong Soon gripped both her daughters’ hands. “Come back alive. All of you.”

Night fell fast.

The strike team moved through the jungle perimeter, bypassing motion sensors with Ji Woo’s tech scramblers. Ahead, floodlights cut across steel plating and patrol bots hummed across concrete.

“Three guards at the gate,” Rin whispered. “Patterned movement. I’ve got a clear window in 14 seconds.”

Rae nodded. “Make it count.”

Rin blurred forward, disarming the first two guards with pinpoint strikes. Rae took the third from above, landing like thunder.

The door slid open. The team slipped inside.

The interior was colder. Metallic. Buzzing with power. Every hallway screamed corporate precision and military threat.

Seul led the way, bypassing keypads, guiding them deeper.

But halfway through the lower corridor, alarms shrieked.

Ji Woo’s voice cracked over the comms, just before static drowned her out. “She knew. It’s a trap—”

Lights turned red. Barricades slammed down.

Doors locked.

And out of the shadows stepped the one they’d hoped to avoid.

Mi Na.

Clad in a jet-black suit laced with energy veins, she smiled like a queen welcoming guests to execution.

“Welcome to the future,” she said. “Shame you won’t be part of it.”
