Chapter 113 - Three Months of Forever

Andrew’s bike screeched to a halt just outside the Foster mansion. He parked it carefully and leaned against a tree, his sharp eyes catching sight of Tristan’s car entering moments earlier. His lips curled into a determined smile as he assessed the sprawling mansion. Guards were stationed around the property, their gazes scanning the grounds diligently.

“How am I supposed to see my angel with all these guards?” Andrew muttered to himself. He cracked his knuckles, determination glinting in his eyes.

With swift, calculated movements, Andrew scaled the wall and slipped through the garden, staying low to avoid detection. He paused for a moment, surprised at how smoothly his plan was going. “Well, that was easier than expected,” he thought. Spotting a door that was slightly ajar, Andrew entered the mansion and realized it was dinnertime.

In the dining hall, Eva was happily engaged in conversation with her parents, Tristan, and Aunt Tiara.

“Why don’t you and Dad go on a trip?” Eva suggested to her mother, a spark of excitement in her eyes. “You deserve it after all you’ve been through.”

Asher sighed, his expression a mix of longing and regret. “I’ve asked, but she’s unwilling.”

“Me?” Nora said, feigning surprise. “Eva, dear, we’re content just being with you all. Losing 12 years has made every moment with our family precious.”

“Still, you and Dad should rekindle your relationship,” Eva pressed.

“Maybe soon,” Asher replied with a small smile. “But tomorrow, Tristan, I need you to arrange a board meeting with all the company members.”

“Only Mr. White is a problem for us,” Matthew added, his voice tinged with frustration.

As they discussed the company’s challenges, dinner concluded peacefully, and everyone retired to their rooms.

Andrew, meanwhile, had slipped into what he thought was Eva’s room and hid under the bed. He froze as the door creaked open.

“Why is Tristan in Eva’s room?” Andrew thought furiously as Tristan strolled in, laptop in hand, and settled on the couch. Tristan’s phone rang, and Andrew was subjected to a sickly-sweet conversation between Tristan and Irene.

Unable to take more of the nauseating exchange, Andrew slipped out as Tristan stepped onto the balcony. “Wrong damn room,” Andrew muttered, cursing his mistake.

Determined, Andrew found his way to another door and knocked softly. The door opened, and Eva stood there, her eyes wide with disbelief.

“I’m hallucinating from missing him so much,” Eva murmured.

Andrew sighed, stepping inside and closing the door behind him. “Sweetheart, it’s really me,” he said, pulling her into a tight hug.

Eva blinked, her shock melting into joy. “Andrew, I missed you,” she whispered.

Andrew sat on the bed, pulling her onto his lap. Just then, his stomach let out a loud growl. Eva laughed, the sound like music to Andrew’s ears.

“Someone sounds hungry,” she teased. “Wait here. I’ll get you something.”

“I’m only hungry for you,” Andrew said, his voice deep and teasing.

“Behave,” Eva scolded, heading downstairs to raid the kitchen.

While collecting food, a maid informed her there was a package waiting for her. Eva told the maid to leave it at her door, quickly finishing her task. She froze when Tiara walked into the kitchen.

“Still craving snacks at this hour?” Tiara asked with a knowing smile. “Are you pregnant?”

Eva nearly dropped the plate. “What? No, my period is regular!” she exclaimed.

Tiara laughed as Eva hastily excused herself and hurried back upstairs. She reached her room and jiggled the handle, but the door was locked.

“Andrew, open up! It’s me!” Eva whispered, slightly annoyed.

The door cracked open, and Andrew peeked out. “Close your eyes,” he instructed with a grin.

“Why?” Eva asked suspiciously.

“Just trust me, sweetheart,” Andrew pleaded.

Rolling her eyes, Eva complied. Andrew led her into the room, taking the tray of food and setting it aside.

“Can I open them now?” Eva asked impatiently.

“Not yet,” Andrew said, adjusting the final touches.

“Alright,” he finally said, stepping back.

Eva opened her eyes and gasped. Fairy lights hung from the bedposts, and red rose petals were scattered across the floor. Tears welled up in her eyes as she took it all in.

“Andrew,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

“Sweetheart, don’t cry,” Andrew said, pulling her into a hug. “Did you forget our three-month bet? It’s officially midnight.”

Andrew knelt before her, taking her hand in his. “I love you, Eva, and I want you by my side for the rest of our lives. Will you stay with me?”

Tears spilled down Eva’s cheeks as she nodded. “Yes, Andrew. A million times yes!”

Andrew stood, pulling her into his arms. “You are my everything, angel,” he whispered.

Eva smiled through her tears. “I love you too, Andrew. Just promise me you’ll never hurt me.”

“Never,” he vowed.

Andrew’s stomach growled again, and Eva giggled. “Let’s feed you, hubby,” she said, her words making Andrew’s heart swell.

The two shared a slice of cake from the package, celebrating their three-month anniversary. Andrew handed Eva a small gift box, which contained a delicate bracelet engraved with their initials.

“I’ll eat, but then I’m eating you next,” Andrew teased playfully.

“Andrew King,” Eva scolded, her cheeks flushing. “Just eat!”

After they finished the food, Andrew leaned in, his lips brushing against hers. “You’re my craving tonight,” he whispered, pulling her down onto the bed as they melted into each other’s embrace.
