Chapter 120 - Fires of Love and Fury

Tristan was seated at the head of the conference table in his office at Foster Industries, his sharp gaze fixed on a presentation being given by one of his clients. His focus was absolute, oblivious to the tempest brewing just outside the meeting room.

Meanwhile, Irene stormed through the building, her heels clicking furiously against the polished floors. "That bastard," she muttered under her breath, "He’s talking less and less to me since we started dating."

Without a care for decorum, she pushed open the door to Tristan's meeting and stormed inside.

“Tristan!” she yelled, her voice echoing through the room. Heads turned in shock, murmurs breaking the professional atmosphere. “I’m angry with you! You take me for granted, and I refuse to stand for it anymore!”

Tristan’s eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening as he calmly addressed Nelson, his assistant. “Nelson, take her out.”

Nelson approached Irene nervously, but her glare was enough to make him hesitate. Tristan didn’t so much as glance at her again, diving back into the discussion as though nothing had happened.

Furious, but unwilling to embarrass herself further, Irene allowed Nelson to guide her out. Chloe, Tristan’s secretary, intercepted her. “Miss Irene, would you like to grab a coffee and cool down?”

“No,” Irene snapped but softened as Chloe’s kind demeanor cut through her anger. “I’ll just wait in his office.”

Inside Tristan’s office, Irene paced the floor. Chloe lingered by the door. “Do you think I was wrong to barge in like that?” Irene asked, a trace of guilt seeping into her voice.

Chloe hesitated but decided on honesty. “If I’m being truthful… yes, Miss Irene. But you can make it right.”

Irene sighed, running a hand through her hair. “You’re right. I shouldn’t have embarrassed him like that. When will the meeting end?”

“Almost done,” Chloe replied, and Irene nodded.

Minutes later, Irene walked back into the conference room, much to the shock of the attendees.

“Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen,” Irene began, bowing slightly in apology. “I wanted to sincerely apologize for my earlier behavior. It was unprofessional, and I’m deeply sorry for the disruption.”

The room was silent, stunned that Irene King would lower herself to such humility.

“Sit over there, Princess,” Tristan ordered coldly, motioning to an empty chair. His tone sent a shiver down her spine, and Irene obeyed without a word.

After the meeting adjourned and everyone else left, Irene moved to leave, but Tristan pinned her to the wall before she could step through the door. His intense gaze locked onto hers as he brushed his thumb across her lower lip.

“I… I’m sorry,” Irene stuttered, her cheeks flushing as his lips curled into a smirk.

“Princess, a King never apologizes,” Tristan said smoothly before claiming her lips in a fiery kiss. Irene melted into him, her fingers curling into his shirt.

After a few moments, she pushed him away, gasping. “Tristan, stop!”

“Princess, you were so hot when you shouted at me,” Tristan said, his voice dripping with amusement.

“Are you insane?” Irene gawked at him.

“Your angry face… it’s sexy,” he continued, tightening his grip on her waist and pulling her closer. “But now, you’re my sweet, adorable Princess again.”

“You’re impossible,” Irene muttered, turning her face away to hide the hint of a smile.

“I’ve been busy, but I’m sorry for making you feel ignored,” Tristan admitted, stroking her hair. “Forgive me?”

Irene sighed but nodded. “You owe me a movie date.”

“Anything for you, Princess,” he replied with a grin.

At the King residence, Andrew was in his study when Eva’s frustrated voice echoed down the hall.

“Andrew!” she called.

He rushed to her side. “What’s wrong, Angel?”

Eva glared at him, tears threatening to spill. “Hug me,” she demanded.

Andrew sat beside her, wrapping her in his arms and holding her close. “Am I troubling you?” she asked, her voice quivering.

“Never,” Andrew said gently, kissing her forehead. “You could never bother me, Angel.”

“I hit you earlier and said mean things,” Eva said guiltily. “Are you sure you’re not mad?”

Andrew chuckled softly, squeezing her tighter. “You didn’t mean it. I love you, no matter what.”

Eva tilted her head up, her lips brushing against his in a tender kiss. What started as sweet quickly deepened into something more, her soft sighs stoking a fire in Andrew he was desperate to control.

“Angel,” Andrew murmured, pulling back reluctantly. “We should stop.”

“Why?” Eva teased, her lips curving into a mischievous smile. “Don’t you like my kisses?”

“I love them too much,” Andrew admitted with a groan, his resolve slipping as she kissed him again.

Laughter filled the room as the couple leaned into their love for one another, basking in the warmth of their growing family and the storm of emotions that came with it.
