The doorbell rang at Conner and Wren’s house, and Wren, radiant in a cozy sweater, hurried to answer it.

“Hey guys…come in,” Wren called out with a welcoming smile.

Stormi stepped through the door, her face lighting up at the sight of her best friend. “Hi, bestie,” she said, pulling Wren into a warm embrace.

Wren returned the hug, her eyes twinkling with genuine affection. “Connor is finishing up the food,” she said as they entered the house.

Rex followed closely behind, his eyes already scanning the kitchen for the source of the delicious aroma. “Great, I’m starving,” he announced with a grin.

Stormi sniffed the air appreciatively. “It smells so good.”

Wren gave a proud smile. “I’m blessed. My hubby is such a good cook.”

Stormi laughed, playfully nudging Wren. “Yeah, yeah, quit showing off.”

Rex turned to Stormi, feigning innocence. “Is my cooking that bad?”

Stormi’s eyes twinkled mischievously. “What do you think?”

Rex laughed, shaking his head. “Well…I guess you are right.”

As if on cue, Connor emerged from the kitchen, a steaming platter of food in his hands. “Hey guys, food is ready.”

Rex sniffed appreciatively. “Smells good, buddy.”

Wren was already digging in, a satisfied grin on her face. “It tastes even better. Yummy!”

Stormi shook her head, chuckling. “You are so spoiled.”

Wren smirked, clearly enjoying the attention. “So what. I deserve to be spoiled.”

Connor leaned down and planted a tender kiss on Wren’s cheek. “Yes, my sunshine deserves the world.”

Stormi sighed theatrically, nudging Rex with her elbow. “Rex, I think we should just leave and give these two some alone time.”

Rex’s eyes danced with playful mischief. “Should we go?”

Wren laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “Alright, quit pouting. We’ll be good.”

Stormi leaned over and planted a kiss on Rex’s cheek, her voice warm with affection. “We can be lovey-dovey too.”

Rex chuckled, returning the kiss with a teasing glint in his eye. “Behave, naughty girl.”

Wren rolled her eyes, though her smile was full of affection. “Geez…let’s just eat.”

As they settled into their seats and began to eat, the conversation flowed easily. Laughter and happy chatter filled the room, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie.

Connor cleared his throat, a mischievous glint in his eye. “We have some good news to share.”

Rex’s face brightened with excitement. “We do too.”

Wren looked intrigued. “What’s your good news?”

Stormi’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she shared their big news. “Bestie, guess what?! Rex and I are going to be parents!”

Wren’s eyes widened in surprise. “Really!”

Connor’s face lit up with genuine happiness. “That’s great news. Congrats, you two.”

Rex grinned, his pride evident. “Thanks.”

Stormi turned to Wren, her excitement barely contained. “Wait…what is your good news?”

Wren’s smile grew even bigger, her eyes shining with joy. “We are pregnant too!”

Stormi gasped, her hands flying to her cheeks. “Oh my gosh…seriously!”

Wren nodded, her face glowing with happiness. “We are both going to have babies together.”

Stormi’s eyes filled with tears of joy. “This is so exciting!”

Connor leaned in, his grin widening. “We have another surprise too.”

Wren’s smile was practically radiant. “I’m pregnant with twins!”

Rex’s eyes widened in amazement. “Wow…congrats, Connor!”

Stormi’s mouth fell open in delight. “Oh my, two babies!”

Wren nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, I’m so happy!”

Stormi looked at Wren, her eyes full of warmth and affection. “Our babies will be the very best of friends.”

Wren’s smile was full of anticipation and joy. “Yes, they will.”

The evening continued with laughter, congratulations, and the kind of heartfelt conversation that only comes when two couples who are deeply in love and excited for their futures come together. The joy of their shared news only deepened their connection, and as they celebrated their good fortune, it was clear that their lives were about to become even more intertwined in the most beautiful ways.
