A few days after Stormi and Rex's movie date, Wren and Stormi met up at their favorite café, the kind of place that was warm and inviting, with a hint of nostalgia in its décor. The café had become their haven for these kinds of conversations—where every detail of a romantic escapade could be dissected over coffee and pastries.

Wren’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she sipped her latte. “So, how was the movie date?”

Stormi’s cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink as she fiddled with her napkin. “It was nice.”

Wren leaned in, her curiosity getting the better of her. “That’s it? Just nice?”

Stormi hesitated, biting her lip. “Well…”

Wren’s eyes widened. “Please tell me there’s more.”

Stormi’s nerves got the best of her, and she blurted out in a rush, “We are dating!”

Wren’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “What?”

Stormi nodded, her face now a deeper shade of red. “We are dating.”

Wren’s mouth formed an “O” of astonishment. “That was fast!”

Stormi’s voice wavered with uncertainty. “Is it? I mean, we went on one date, and now we’re a couple. Should I have waited? It’s too soon, right? Maybe I should have said no.”

Wren waved her hands reassuringly. “No, no, no. I didn’t mean it in a bad way. It’s just—I can’t believe someone as shy as you are is dating that fast.”

Stormi’s shoulders relaxed slightly. “Oh…”

Wren’s eyes were eager. “So, he asked you out? Tell me everything!”

Stormi took a deep breath, her eyes brightening as she recounted the evening. “Well… We went to see the movie, and then he wanted to grab a bite to eat. I was way too nervous to go, so I said I would just go home.”

Wren’s expression was a mixture of amusement and concern. “He insisted on taking you home?”

Stormi nodded. “Yeah, and before I could even get out of the car, he grabbed my hands and told me he liked me.”

Wren’s face softened with a touch of sentiment. “Aww, how cute. And then?”

Stormi’s smile widened as she remembered. “I said I liked him too. However, he brought up Riley afterwards.”

Wren’s curiosity was piqued. “What did he think about Riley?”

Stormi’s smile faltered a bit. “He thought I liked Riley because we’re always so close. I told him that wasn’t the case, though.”

Wren’s expression turned serious. “Does he know Riley likes you?”

Stormi nodded. “Yeah, I was honest about that too. I thought it was best to clear things up to avoid misunderstandings.”

Wren smiled, clearly impressed. “Good call. It’s always best to be upfront.”

Wren’s eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief. “Did you hug or kiss goodnight?”

Stormi’s eyebrows shot up in embarassment. “Stop teasing me!”

Stormi laughed, her anxiety easing. “We went for a walk and held hands before I went home.”

Wren’s shoulders slumped a bit in mock disappointment. “That’s it?”

Stormi giggled. “Yes, not all of us are as touchy as you and Connor.”

Wren’s face flushed, a playful defensiveness in her tone. “Hey, we only do that at home.”

Stormi’s eyes danced with mischief. “Oh really? And what exactly do you do at home?”

Wren’s face turned a deep shade of crimson as she floundered for words. “I’m not saying.”

The two friends burst into laughter, their shared joy and teasing bringing them even closer. As they continued to chat and laugh about their boyfriends, the café’s cozy ambiance seemed to envelop them, making the afternoon an unforgettable moment of friendship and shared experiences.

As the conversation wound down, Stormi felt a renewed sense of confidence. Despite her nerves, everything had turned out well, and she was grateful for Wren’s support and understanding.
