Chapter 75 - Dear Diary

A few days later, Wren found herself at her desk, a soft light illuminating the pages of her journal. The rhythmic scratch of her pen was the only sound in the otherwise quiet room as she poured her thoughts onto paper.

Journal Entry - Wednesday, December 8th

I never imagined that being in a relationship could feel this wonderful.

Connor has been the greatest blessing in my life. I keep thinking back to the day he found me on that bridge. His words, his presence—they saved me. At the time, I was engulfed in despair, but now I’m profoundly grateful he stopped me. Without him, I’d never have known this kind of happiness.

And oh, the progress we’ve made! I can hardly believe it, but I finally had an intimate moment with Connor, and I didn’t panic. There was a fleeting thought of Trevor, but I pushed it away and focused solely on Connor.

His patience and kindness have been incredible. He even helped me wash my hair, turning a once painful memory into something soothing and new. Now, I can kiss him, hold his hand, and sleep wrapped in his arms. And… oh my goodness, I can’t believe I’m writing this…

We’ve explored each other’s bodies and brought each other pleasure. I’m actually writing this down! It feels so surreal and, to be honest, a little embarrassing.

Despite all this, I’m contemplating returning to school. The thought terrifies me, but I feel ready to face it with Connor by my side.

Wren closed her journal, a smile on her face as she tucked the book safely away. Just then, the sound of the front door opening caught her attention. She dashed to the living room to greet Connor, her heart lifting at the sight of him.

“Hi there! I missed you,” she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him and pressing a kiss to his cheek.

Connor responded with a warm kiss on her lips, his eyes sparkling with affection. “I missed you too.”

“How was work?” she asked, her curiosity evident.

“It was okay. How about you? What were you up to?” Connor’s gaze was playful, a hint of mischief in his eyes.

Wren hesitated, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. “Just writing secrets in my journal.”

“Secrets?” Connor’s grin widened. “What kind of secrets? Naughty ones?”

Wren playfully smacked his arm. “Connor, I’m not as dirty-minded as you think.”

Connor laughed, his eyes dancing with amusement. “Are you sure about that, Naughty Kitten?”

Wren rolled her eyes, laughing despite herself. “Ugh, just go away!”

With a huff, Wren stormed off into the kitchen, but she could hear Connor’s laughter following close behind. As she prepared a snack, she felt a warm sense of contentment. Despite her fears and the past that haunted her, Connor’s love and support made each day brighter. She knew she was ready to face whatever came next—together.
